Best approach example: - Transition strategy: develop a transition plan that gradually shifts from direct aid to livelihood support and capacity building.  - Community-led development: engage community members in identifying their own development priorities and build their capacity to lead projects.  - Partnerships with local institutions: partner with local institutions to strengthen their ability to deliver services and support community development. Power is a very abstract idea, a big and complicated concept. Each of us understands it in our own way, within the context of the issues we work on, the people we work with, what we have read about it, or based on our own experiences of power. The chains of development. Managing the expectations of rural communities is a huge challenge for projects. The perception that developers have unlimited or huge readily available funds to make things happen is common in all communities. In addition, they wrongly percieved, developers will support any kind of requests. In addressing this, it is very important to inform the people, the truth on the project, the limitations, laws and policies guidelines that govern the industry. For example, many communities have church groups that do their own things among their groupings. Having crusades, youth camps, women gatherings, etc. These activities provide potential reasons to seek funding support from developers. In such cases, what should you as a Community Liaison Officer or Community Development Officer do?

Research shows that children with 1-4 out-of-school opportunities like summer programs are 50% more likely to graduate from college and can earn $10,000 more annually by age 26.
