“Most of the time we have school computers, but they don’t let us bring them home.” - Quevon, Compudopt program participant. As high school seniors graduate, they prepare to enter the workforce or continue their education in college. But many face a daunting barrier: the lack of a personal computer. Without this essential tool, they are at a distinct disadvantage, whether it's for job applications, furthering their education, or enhancing their skills. From now until June 7, Compudopt is raising dollars for #Gifts4Grads. By donating to our cause, you can provide a graduating senior with a laptop, ensuring they have the necessary resources to thrive beyond high school. Join us in making a tangible difference. Let's equip our future workforce and scholars with the tools they need to excel! 💻 🎓 To donate, visit: https://lnkd.in/gcTVnG5D #Gifts4Grads #EmpowerGraduates #SupportEducation #DigitalDivide

🚨 Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday—Support PPEF! 🚨 This Giving Tuesday, I’m asking you to join me in supporting a cause that’s deeply personal to me: the Paulsboro Pegasus Education Foundation (PPEF). As a proud alumna of Paulsboro High School—and now a Trustee of PPEF—I’ve seen firsthand the incredible difference this foundation makes for our students and families. Paulsboro is a small but resilient community that shaped who I am today, and it’s my privilege to give back to the town that gave me so much. 💡 Why should PPEF—and other small, community-driven organizations—be at the top of your Giving Tuesday list? Small nonprofits like PPEF are uniquely positioned to make an immediate and meaningful impact. Every dollar donated goes straight to programs that directly benefit young people in our community, providing them with the tools and support they need to thrive. 🎓 Pegasus Scholars Program: Empowering students to earn college credits while still in high school, opening doors to higher education and career opportunities. 🔬 STEAM Academy: Equipping students with 21st-century skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math to prepare them for future success. 🍎 Feed the Children Campaign: Ensuring students can focus on learning by meeting their essential needs. 💡 Action Grants for Teachers: Bringing innovative ideas to life in classrooms, fostering creativity and inspiration. When you support PPEF, you’re investing directly in the future of Paulsboro’s youth—helping them grow into confident, career-ready adults with bright futures. 🔗 Link to donate in the comments. If you believe in the power of education and the value of investing in local communities, I invite you to join me in making a real impact. Together, let’s show what generosity can do for our students and community. Thank you for being part of this mission! 💕 #GivingTuesday #SupportEducation #PaulsboroPride #SocialImpact #EducationMatters #STEM

🚨 #GovsGive2024 Update 🚨 We're still going strong until 7:27 p.m. today, March 13! APSU Department of Communication Professor Mike Dunn shares the impact of funding on student experiences: "Funding helps us to give students hands-on experience, so when they go into the job market, they're able to do so much more than maybe students who didn't have the opportunities. The funding allows students to spend more time in labs or spend more time in the radio station or in an art studio or whatever they do on campus. I think that gives them the power than when they go out to Industry to be able to really show what Austin Peay can do for students." Support our students' growth and future success by donating now at https://lnkd.in/emTZR5_3! Every contribution makes a difference. #GovsForLifeExperience

We support people with unwanted tech; whether through IT repairs, support, donations or training 💻 Meet Leo, a student who comes to us for work experience once a fortnight. Leo was introduced to us through a partnered charity, Gecko Community. The aim of the partnership is to support neurodiverse young adults with training and soft skills development which will help them thrive. It's been about 9 months since Leo started his studies with us, and we can't believe how fast the time has gone and how far his development has come in that time. We're grateful to be a part of his journey as helping individuals like him is one of the best parts of the work we do. In the picture below you can see Leo with a laptop workstation. As part of his training with us, Leo helps our technicians diagnose computer issues, fix them, and get the machine back up and running again. Not only does this improve his technical skills, but it helps our tech team to refurbish more devices at a quicker rate - win-win! There are so many people out there who lack technical skills but make up for it in enthusiasm for the field. We love giving these people the opportunity to flourish. Technical skills can be taught, but passion and work ethic are much harder to instil in someone. Do you think more could be done by businesses to support individuals like Leo? #ProfessionalDevelopment #NeurodivergenceInTheWorkplace #AlternativeEducation

🎒✨ What happens when teachers don’t have to worry about supplies? Thanks to Classroom Central, Ms. Johnson, a dedicated educator, started this semester with a classroom full of essentials. We are overjoyed to see that the children of Thundersley Primary School are enjoying their new IT equipment! Initially, pupils had to share their computers as the school didn’t have enough for a full class. Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to provide over 100 laptops to their IT suite. Thundersley’s students can now be online together, meaning that more can be accomplished in their lessons. The Primary School’s Deputy Headteacher, Steve Mackay, told us that in addition to their PCs, the children’s new touch-screen laptops offer all the resources needed to support their lessons compared to their old Chromebook’s. To help us continue to improve children’s education, consider donating your used devices to Every Child Online through our website: https://lnkd.in/gXGH8nj Together, we close the digital divide. #everychildonline #itfullcircle #passiton #DigitalPoverty #DigitalInclusion #SocialValue #SocialImpact #EqualOpportunities #EducationEquality #InternetForAll #DigitalAccess #DigitalLiteracy #ClosingTheGap #digitaldivide #digitalisolation #sustainability #ESG #itad #environment #laptops #PCs #schools #charities #ewaste #recycleit #circulareconomy #learning #education #children #tech4good #Repurpose #Education #Reuse #Recycle Our supporting partners: Essex Ford, Allen Motor Group, #EssexFord #EssexFordTransitCentre #AllenFord Kennedys law, Sunrise Technologies Ltd, Essex Community Foundation.
