Personalized Medicine Coalition’s Post

Today, PMC launched the schedule & speaking line-up for its 18th Annual Personalized Medicine Conference, which will take place from Nov. 12 - 14 at Harvard Medical School in Boston. This conference asks what scientific progress and broad-based access to personalized medicine could mean for patients and health care systems around the world. During the past two decades, new scientific discoveries, not to mention industry investments, have driven to the market thousands of innovative tests and therapies that promise to help direct the right preventive and treatment interventions to the right patients at the right times. But clinical practice gaps and access challenges are leaving too many patients without the benefits that personalized medicine would provide. By rallying academic researchers, investors, business leaders, and health system administrators around a shared vision for the future of the field, PMC believes this conference, organized as it is by the nonprofit Coalition with the support of its more than 200 member institutions, will help pave the way for the advancement of personalized medicine, which can vastly improve the delivery of health care.
