In his presentation, Hiroshi emphasised the importance of understanding basic human needs and leveraging emerging market trends to develop innovative products and strategies. He pointed out how businesses could stay ahead of the curve by adapting to the new “expectations economy” that shapes consumer behaviours and industry shifts. When one of the world's biggest tech conferences is on your doorstep, it would be rude not to attend... 🇵🇹 Last night, Lisbon's #WebSummit 2024 kicked off with opening talks from its Founder Paddy Cosgrave, Lisbon's Mayor, Carlos Moedas, and Portugal's Prime Minister, followed by a talk on 'Culture & Commerce' hosted by Visa's CMO Frank Cooper III with skateboarder turned musician, entrepreneur, philanthropist and now Creative Director at Louis Vuitton, Pharrell Williams 🛹 🎵 After attending my first full day at the conference today, immersing myself in innovation, inspiring talks roundtables and masterclasses, I find myself wanting to share my top 3 observations, before I share my (many) key takeaways: 1. Never in my life have I attended an event where there have been so many almost-head-on-collisions with fellow delegates due to people being surrounded by things to do, things to see, people to meet, and yet totally glued to their devices. >> The convergence of humans and technology is well and truly underway. 👩💻 2. With talks from leaders at Microsoft, Lenovo, ŌURA, The New York Times, Alibaba Group, The Guardian, Mercedes-Benz AG and more, no matter how brilliantly captivating the speakers or how important the content, at least 80% of the audience were dual-tasking on their devices. >> Surely golfdish now out-do humans on attention spans. 🐡 3. The event was a physical representation of just how much we are clobbered by content and pelleted with particulars at a pace we can barely fathom, it's no wonder our mental health is taking a hit as we slalom our way through the third revolution. >> Human batteries are not (yet) powered by a complex and interconnected system of data centers, fiber optic cables, servers, network routers, and telecommunications infrastructure - we need to remind ourselves to take a time out when we need it⏳ My observations are by no means putting a negative spin on our inevitable, technology-powered fate, rather a reminder to be less mindless about it. To be aware of its impact, stay educated, face into the fears that surface, and embrace opportunities to use technology for good. As for Mindless Academy, it's been a huge reminder to stay true to our promise to be a heart-led 💛 and purpose-driven 🌏 organisation with community at its core, grateful to technology as an enabler for impact at scale. 🌟 Impressions from ISE 2024 in Barcelona: A mix of the familiar and the new! 🌟 What an exciting time at this year's Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in Barcelona! Here are some of our impressions and experiences that we would like to share with you: 🤝 We were delighted to meet many long-time acquaintances in person and to continue networking. It was like a class reunion that gave us the opportunity to share our progress, challenges, and future plans. 🌐 At the same time, we also made many new and interesting acquaintances who enriched us with fresh perspectives and ideas. It's always inspiring to meet new faces and experience the diversity of our industry. 🚀 While we were all looking for the "next big thing", we were thrilled with the advancements and excellent product care presented at the show. It shows that innovation is a continuous process and that our industry is constantly finding new ways to grow and thrive. 💬 The conversations we had were invaluable and there was a wealth of knowledge and ideas shared. Each discussion has helped to broaden our horizons and open up new perspectives. 🏟️ The trade fair organizers deserve praise for their improvements compared to last year. Waiting times at the entrance were minimal, which made access to the fair incredibly smooth. ⏳ The time flew by and even though we enjoyed every minute, there were still some things we would have liked to explore longer. 📅 We are already looking forward to next year and will plan to spend even more time discovering everything ISE has to offer. It's an opportunity we don't want to miss to connect with like-minded people, find inspiration and share our passion for the industry. A quick summary after 3 days at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona: 1. It is really energizing to be here with so many colleagues, exhibitions, and interesting thought-leaders 2. Connectivity clearly plays an important role for societies, businesses and individuals – in the past and in the future 3. Technology innovation is happening at an unprecedented speed, providing lots of opportunities (and challenges) for telco & tech players (plus I do believe many other industries can learn from it) Beyond the tech buzz, the energy and joy in every conversation, and all the business prospects – I do hope senior executives also consider materiality of the value pockets, reflect on what role their company (realistically) can play, and how to invest for attractive returns. Shaping your portfolio and investments along different time horizons and ensuring you seek to accelerate and defend core (vs venturing) are two good conversations to have as a start.

🌟 Innovation week at the Prague University of Economics and Business in full speed and a landmark event for Tourism and Hospitality🌟 Just yesterday, we took a significant step in the #MICE industry by signing a memorandum of cooperation. This wasn't just any agreement—it was a promise between the Prague Convention Bureau and the Faculty of International Relations /Prague University of Economics and Business/ to forge ahead with a shared vision. Martina Jiránková, Jan Kubinec and Lenka Zlebkova put pen to paper, marking the beginning of something genuinely special. Special was also the expert discussion preceding the ceremony. Key Takeaways from the Expert Panel Discussion: Lenka Zlebkova shared her passion for pushing us towards sustainable practices, reminding us why we do what we do. Roman Muška echoed the sentiment, focusing on the crucial role of #ESG in keeping Prague at the top of the #MICE world. It's all about making real, impactful changes. Jan Kubinec's insights on event tech were a highlight. Integrating #AI to enhance the attendee experience and improve event demographics isn't just innovative; it's essential. The agility we've shown in organizing large-scale events swiftly, with a keen eye on sustainability, is nothing short of revolutionary. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭, EXPO REAL (Messe München) 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐝! This year's event was particularly special for me, as I returned to the fair for the first time as a co-founder of my own company. It was a great opportunity to introduce our concept for Prosperly to former colleagues, connect with potential partners, and broaden my network. 𝐼’𝑚 𝑒𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑖𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑓𝑢𝑙 to PwC Deutschland, as much of my network from my time as a consultant there remains active and productive. It's inspiring to see how the alumni community has evolved over the years, taking on new roles and continuing to thrive. 𝑂𝑛𝑒 𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑒𝑎𝑤𝑎𝑦 from the many discussions I had feels like the early days of the ESG transformation in RE: While there's a lot of enthusiasm and support for digitalization, when it comes to execution, many industry players are still holding back. This is something that disruptors and startups, aiming to collaborate with established stakeholders in the industry (mainly B2B), can definitely feel. Many solutions run in parallel and remain incompatible. 𝑊ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑠𝑢𝑟𝑒𝑠 𝑚𝑒, though, is that while our clients may be in the real estate industry, they are ultimately end-users with high expectations. They’re familiar with user-friendly solutions from neobrokers, delivery apps, and other tech-driven industries. This presents a huge opportunity for us to learn from these sectors and integrate those experiences directly into our offering. 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒆 who made this a great fair – to former colleagues, my existing network, and all the new connections I’ve made. I’m excited for what’s to come!
