From Unbundling of Banks to Bundling of Fintech Startups – is this the future of Fintech partnerships? The 2024 State of Fintech Report, developed in collaboration with Dealroom.co and ABN AMRO Bank N.V., reflects what I strongly believe in: the resilience and potential of the fintech sector! Despite a cautious investment climate with fintech funding below 2020 levels, signs of market recovery are showing, also highlighted by recent funding rounds within our portfolio: ◾ Solaris SE successfully closed a Series F round, amassing EUR 96 million - more than double the median size for Series C and beyond. ◾ Xaver marked a significant milestone by securing the largest pre-seed fintech investment in Europe for 2024. ◾ bezahl.de (NX Technologies GmbH) clinched the title for Germany's largest Series B fintech investment this year. The last few years of market uncertainty have reinforced the need for discipline and execution focus, with certain companies coming out stronger. The Nordic Fintech Report 2024 is live today, featuring insights into the innovation, growth and global ambitions of the Nordic fintech ecosystem. The report highlights that Nordea is the leading 'founder factory' in the Nordic region, while Copenhagen Business School ranks as the top university for producing fintech founders.
