Installtion of rockbolts and grouting is a critical process in tunnels. The purpose of installation of rockbolts stability , safety of the tunnel .Rockbolts are used to reinforce the rock and prevent the rockfalls or collapses and the grout used for fill the annular space between the rockbolt and the hole, and to bond the rockbolt to the surrounding rock. 1. Hole drilling: A hole is drilled into the rock at the marked location and angle for the rockbolt.The drilled hole is cleaned of any dust to ensure a smooth installation process. 2. Rockbolt installation: The rockbolt is inserted into the hole, and plate is tightened to secure it in place. 3: A grout mixture is prepared, typically consisting of a cement sand water, and skia viscocerete ( water reducing agent) Sika Viscocrete is a water-reducing agent that helps to improve the workability and flowability of the grout .Sika intraplast ( Expanding agent) Sika intraplast is an expanding agent that helps to reduce the shrinkage of the grout and improve the bond. 4. Grout injection: The grout mixture is injected into the hole, filling the annular space between the rockbolt and the hole and surrounding rock.

#Ground anchoring is a common name applied to an engineered system that mechanically fixes a structure to the ground, enabling load transfer into a competent stratum. The tensile forces applied are resisted by the shear strength of the surrounding ground. For anchor’s installation, a borehole with a diameter of 70 to 150 mm is rotary drilled by the anchor rig using water / bentonite slurry flushing method. When drilling reaches the required level, the drilling rod is pulled out of the borehole and the anchor is installed manually. The borehole is filled with cement suspension to the required level through a solid pipe attached to the anchor tendons. Grouting of the anchor’s grout body is carried out after 48 hours through pipes (with sleeves) attached to the anchor’s tendon. Temporary anchors, in single-rod or strand anchor configuration, which can be removed fully or partially, are used to secure retaining walls for a maximum of two years. They are quick to install and highly cost-effective. The load-bearing behaviour of each anchor is tested and logged during the acceptance procedure. Strand anchors are delivered to the site in coils, which means they can also be used in tight operating environments.
