Our CEO Julia Souder sat down with Energy Intelligence editor Ronan Kavanagh to discuss how #LDES is helping to transform our energy systems today and what more can be done to accelerate LDES deployment. Key takeaways include: Market reform is urgently needed: Current market structures are hindering the large-scale deployment of LDES solutions. We need a clear and supportive policy framework to unlock LDES's full potential. Setting ambitious targets: Establishing clear and ambitious national targets for LDES capacity is essential to drive #investment and #innovation in this crucial sector. LDES is the missing piece for a truly clean and reliable energy system and supporting deep #decarbonization strategies across the globe. LDES enables the integration of a greater share of renewables in the energy mix while strengthening grid stability and #resilience. Listen to the full interview here: https://bit.ly/4bk0E3r

On this article my colleagues examine what drives the pace of the energy transition which is placing significant pressure of organisations. While large-scale operational change can expose organizations to new risks, the dangers of not transforming may be even greater.
A rewiring of global energy systems is underway. While renewables are expected to become a dominant power generation source by 2038 - with China, Europe and the US producing over 57% of global solar and wind output by 2050 - the pace of growth and ultimate portfolio of assets continues to evolve. Significant increases in demand forecasts due to data center development and policy uncertainty related to the impact of recent elections require business leaders to adopt an investment approach that remains flexible while not losing sight of customer needs for reliability and affordability. Great set of articles by EY’s Andy Brogan, Anna Belz and Stephanie Chesnick. https://lnkd.in/egpTtnD5 Andy Brogan Anna Belz Stephanie Chesnick #RenewableEnergy #Reliability #EnergyTransition #ShapeTheFutureWithConfidence
