🚗 October New Car Market Update from the SMMT 🚗 The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has released October’s new car registration data, showing some key trends in the UK automotive market: • 📉 The new car market declined by -6.0% in October. • ⚡ Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) stood out as the only powertrain to grow, with a 24.5% increase, capturing a 20.7% share—driven by a variety of new models. • 🔋 UK buyers now have over 125 BEV models to choose from—a 38% rise in options in the last 10 months. • 🚙 Nearly 300,000 new BEVs have hit the roads in 2024, making up 18.1% of the market.
