Vulnerability is often hailed as a remedy for building deeper connections and authenticity, yet its true impact can be more nuanced than expected. While sharing personal experiences can foster understanding, oversharing can lead to disconnection and strain relationships. I've learned that vulnerability is a delicate balance. It's not just about sharing, but also about knowing when to listen, when to speak, and how to engage empathetically. I challenge the idea that vulnerability alone is sufficient for genuine connection; instead, I advocate for pairing vulnerability with emotional intelligence. Check out Breaking Waves Coaching's latest blog post for a comprehensive guide on navigating vulnerability effectively, including the five do's and don'ts of vulnerability.

Do you know what your Working Genius is? How about your team's Working Genius, or Working Frustrations? The key to maximizing your team for results is understanding how each person works best, and leveraging the team members for the right work based on what gives them energy and joy. My team at PAR Excellence recently completed a session led by Dr. Angela Crawford on The Working Genius. It was an eye opening session full of "a-ha" moments. For instance, my highest Working Genius attribute is Discernment, and for most of my team, that is in their Working Frustration. This one insight explains a lot for me, and now I can work with Angela as my Executive Coach to look for ways to improve work for my team based on this new insight. If you are a leader who is interested in learning more about your team in an effort to maximize efficiency and results, while also helping your team grow and deepen their own leadership skills, I highly recommend you consider this session for your own team. https://lnkd.in/eTiBtTxv
