Just a quick friendly Friday reminder, just because you’re single doesn’t mean you don’t need coverage. Here are a few reasons to consider!

I like the message here and it can work, but I've found the most powerful exercise I have ever done, as an anxious person despite how mindful I am and how much I love meditation, is through framework thinking. And it's constantly recommended by the most accomplished entrepreneurs I study, Alex Hormozi as one example. For instance, asking yourself the question "What is the #1 thing that if it goes well, everything else becomes irrelevant?" is a powerful question for prioritisation and anxiety. It leads you down a mental path to find focus among all the fires burning or option costs you're weighing against. Or "What is the #1 thing that will grow my business?" a question Hormozi asks himself (every morning?) and then dedicates the first 4 hours of every day towards, which he attributes as being how he succeeded. In fact the question "What would this look like if it went well?" has been the key to countering my depressive thought patterns and seeing HOW things can go well instead of HOW they can go wrong. I've found I've evolved to easily spot problems, I find it selectively hard to spot opportunity. It is honestly life changing how much more I can see now that I do this regularly, and it has flat out made me more intelligent, in addition to not depressive or anxious. Not only has it boosted motivation immediately, but it's helped me spot what I could do or what I'll need to do, and primed my brain to more easily accept the risks of rejection and fear in lieu of the greater future that is objectively possible. We're so conditioned to stay in our box and think realistically that without this framework thinking, I would honestly be a fraction of who I am now. Common variations include "What would this look like if it were fun?" (credit to Ali Abdaal) or "if it were easy?". But the above has been most motivating to me so far and literally removed parts of my "ADHD". What techniques do you use for yourself? Let me know. I am shocked that frameworks are not talked about more.

Feeling anxious? It's understandable. Anxiety is a natural response to stress or uncertainty, and many people experience it from time to time. It's important to acknowledge your feelings and take steps to manage them. Techniques such as deep breathing, mindfulness, and talking to a trusted friend or therapist can be helpful. Remember, you are not alone, and there are resources and strategies available to support you.

Priorities are straight; you want to sort out what's truly happening. Couples frequently discuss side effects — contending, absence of correspondence, or feeling far off. Yet, the main problems might lie further, as neglected needs or unsettled clashes. Pose unassuming inquiries to assist them with communicating their sentiments:

Even the most faithful, grounded Christians sometimes need more than prayer alone—we need to heal emotional wounds so that spiritual growth can flourish. Many of us try to shoulder our burdens quietly, believing that steady prayer and a well-ordered life should be enough. But God never intended us to face every challenge in isolation. Faith-respecting counseling can guide us through the tangles of anxiety, doubt, or hidden sorrow. By learning healthy coping strategies and gaining deeper self-awareness, we free ourselves to follow Christ more wholeheartedly, unencumbered by unaddressed pain. In embracing this partnership of faith and counseling, we honor both our spiritual calling and the psychological help God makes available.
Even the brightest smiles can mask deep pain and uncertainty. At Shield Bearer, we understand that acknowledging those hidden struggles takes courage. Our compassionate counselors are trained to listen, support, and guide you toward understanding and healing. You don’t have to face your challenges alone—reach out and discover a safe place to find hope and renewal. 281-894-7222

How are you feeling? How are you really feeling? (Mind) Do you find it easy asking someone how they are feeling? Does it just follow hello/hi as a nicety, or are you asking because you really want to know how someone is feeling? If it’s the latter are you ready, able and willing to listen and respond appropriately? When someone responds with ‘I’m fine’, please know that they may not be and that they may be waiting for someone to ask them if they really are ok. Asking someone twice can make them feel cared for and thought about, that you have time for them and that you really do want to know how they are feeling. Its ok to not be ok - support, help and advice is available #mentalhealth #wellbeing #itsoktonotbeok #asktwice #MIND
