When in Argentina, learn tango! The photo is NOT of me dancing. I was too focused on learning that I did not have any photos taken last night during my tango class. The tango class was more than learning tango. The experience affirmed the importance of being fully present with whom I was dancing. As we took turns leading and following, it was a lesson on trusting myself and my partner. Tango teaches me: 1. The most important step in tango is ‘STOP’. 2. The one leading stops so that they can connect with their partner who is trusting (with eyes closed) them for the next move. 3. The one leading always steps forward. 4. Breathe together to connect. Yesterday I achieved a not work related milestone I gave my first lesson of salsa as a teacher(I've been dancing for a few years). And I showed all the moves and one of the students told me. "But Ethan how does she know when she needs to make a spin" "Good question" I answered Then I said, "I'm a magician"(A bit arrogant of me)😏 Everyone laughed and then I explained that there is a Trigger and when the trigger happens based on what the trigger is the girl understands what to do next. Sounds familiar? Yes exactly as automation When X happens then do Y🔄 So here is a quick tip: Next time you create an automation, think of yourself as a choreographer. Set the right triggers, and then build it step by step without trying to construct the entire flow at once. Why? Because, like many students who try to learn too quickly, you might skip the basics and end up building on a bad foundation. So take it step by step until you have a fully functioning machine/dance/move. P.S: To master both salsa and automation, always try to anticipate the next move. Make sure you have good triggers, so your business can spin into action💃🕺
