By bringing together diverse stakeholders like healthcare professionals, community leaders, and policymakers, we can foster open dialogue, share insights, and develop innovative solutions. To ensure flexibility in our timeline, we should consider leveraging digital tools to schedule meetings or dialogues. Additionally, explore the possibility of conducting collaborative sessions in a neutral community setting. These collaborative sessions not only enhance communication but also build trust and strengthen partnerships within the community. A New Way Forward. You’re passionate about your work, but the weight of it can sometimes feel overwhelming. What if you had a support system that didn’t just exist during a crisis, but was there every day—colleagues who lift you up, just as you do for your patients? On November 2, at TEDx Houston, we’ll discuss how transforming healthcare starts with building that sense of community. Together, we can create a system that nurtures and empowers you to thrive.

In the new MedAccess Annual Review, we reflect on 2023 – a year that made me prouder than ever to lead this organisation. Three landmark events underlined the importance of our work, while our team continued to explore new ways of using innovative finance to increase access to vital health products in low- and middle-income countries. Of course, none of this would be possible without the support of our Board, our shareholder British International Investment, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and our partners. We are at a critical time in global health. As we move forward, we are committed to working alongside these organisations – as well as new partners – to play our part in addressing the most significant health challenges we face.
