Seafood and wine lovers, this is a must-read! 🍷🐟 These are the best wine pairings for your favorite fish dishes: ✨ Mahi Mahi: This fish pairs wonderfully with rich white wines such as Dry Rosé, Italian Chardonnay, Marsanne, or Roussanne. If you’re cooking it light, opt for lighter whites like Sauvignon Blanc. ✨ Red Snapper: Grilled snapper shines with Pinot Noir or a light Merlot from California, or even light, fruity reds like Beaujolais. ✨ Tuna: This fish has red wine potential. Try a southern Rhône, a young Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, or Merlot. ✨ Mackerel: A California Viognier or an Oregon Pinot Gris works beautifully with broiled mackerel. Sauvignon Blanc or even Champagne are also excellent choices. ✨ Wahoo: Oaked Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, or Dry Rosé would be fitting. A darker wine option includes Pinot Noir. Time to plan your next seafood and wine pairing night! 🥂 #winepairing #seafoodpairings #winelover #seafoodlover #foodandwine #pineriverrealty

And if you’re choosing to serve it at your next gathering, here are some facts you can amaze your guests with: This wine originates from the Bordeaux region of France. I recently came across an article about UK wines that truly fascinated me, and I wanted to share my learnings. UK wines are often referred to as the "sweet child of climate change." Since the 1950s, rising temperatures due to global warming have created a more favorable climate for winemaking in Southern England. The primary grapes used here are known as the "Holy Trinity": Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, which are also the key varietals in Champagne production. Remarkably, blind tastings have shown that English sparkling wines can stand toe-to-toe with Champagne. In fact, one striking statistic revealed that 60% of French drinkers prefer English sparkling wine over Champagne! Some standout examples of UK wines include Nyetimber Classic Cuvée, Chapel Down Classic Brut, and Ridgeview Bloomsbury. In summary, the combination of high-quality grapes grown in a favorable climate has allowed the UK to excel in producing not only remarkable sparkling wines but also impressive white, red, and rosé varieties. #ukwines #wines #beverages

Rosé is not just for Summer! There is no genre of wine more so than rosé that symbolises summer. Al fresco dinning with warm breezes and a lightly chilled glass of something pink and delicious. With rosé wines still or sparkling we typically recommend the newer, fresher vintages so keep an eye out for the 2023 or 2022s. Fashion is still championing the wines of Aix-en-Provence with more and more celebrities launching their own labels. These rosés will almost always be dry in style yet full of vibrancy and moreish red fruit flavours. Always great with salads or for simply sipping in the shade. Given the growth in popularity in rosé worldwide almost all wine regions are producing. A well made Rosé from a great grower, like any wine from a great grower are often crafted to complement food and will prove remarkably pleasurable throughout the year and should not just be seen solely as a summer affair. View as a white wine with some judicious red wine characteristics. #Rosé, #alfresco

🍷 Would you like my top 90 wine choices? 🍷 I do love my wines. And they are not all expensive either. To me, a great wine is a wine that YOU LOVE. 🫵 It’s not about price at all. Some of my absolute favorite picks are $15 a bottle as a great dinner table wine. I want to share with you my list of wines that I have gathered over the last decade plus. These are my absolute favorites out of who knows how many. 😂 😇 Not in any order either. So here we go! Vina San Pedro 1865 Selected Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 Notes and a bit more about this wine! Intense, deep ruby red with purplish tones. This wine demonstrates a strong bouquet, marked by elegant and intense aromas of ripe red fruit like cherries, plums and blueberries, in addition to cassis blended with notes of chocolate, mocha and cedar. Very dense and concentrated, with mature and noticeable tannins. In addition, the wine displays a very good balance between the tannins, acidity and oak. Great wine and it’s priced at around $16.99 depending on where you get it. I highly recommend this wine. I hope you found this helpful in choosing a great wine! DRINK, BE MERRY & GO BE AWESOME!! It is that time of year again - and the big question - what wine do I pair with my Thanksgiving (or Friendsgiving) Dinner? If you listen to popular media - there is a common answer and that is drink American and drink Zinfandel. I like the idea of drinking American - But Zinfandel is a big wine with lots of alcohol just what you don’t need to mix in with your tryptophan over-dose. What I say is - keep it light and cheerful, and if possible low alcohol by volume. Starting with sparkling - which is naturally low in alcohol nothing beats a nice Brut Cava. Made in the “champagne” or “traditional” method, you can’t go wrong. Whites - As much as I love Chardonnay, there are more food friendly and versatile whites. Starting with Riesling - fresh and dry, you will surprise your guests with these wines. Go with Germany and you won’t be disappointed - look for bottlings labeled as "trocken" which means dry. From there - Chenin Blanc is one of my favorites. There perhaps is no better food paring white wine than Chenin Blanc. Seek out examples from Loire Valley, France - Anjou, Vouvray, Saumur. Red - a little more difficult, Pinot Noir always hits the spot - and there is no better Pinot Noir than from Burgundy - you can go budget oriented, or break the bank with more expensive options. (Alternatively, Gamay works well) On the other side, I like Tempranillo, and some of the best come from Ribera del Duero and Rioja- structured but not heavy. Wrap it all up with a cheese course and some Sauternes if you like something sweet. The unmistakable presence of botrytis makes these wines very, very special. Of course, I will never discourage a wine if you have your heart set on it. So there it is - sort of a blanket overview of what I recommend for Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving and see you soon. (and the sooner the better!) #thanksgiving #thanksgivingdinnerpairing #veritasstudiowines

Serve THIS at your next holiday party or dinner if you want to impress... Henri Bourgeois Sancerre La Cote des Monts Damnes 2022 At $41.99 on Wine.com, this isn’t a cheap bottle of Sancerre, and you can certainly taste the difference. The green notes in this Sauvignon Blanc are subtle. The acidity is bright, and mineral driven, but balanced. There are lovely florals and even a touch of butter. (I strangely picked up a hint of corn.) It’s elegant and round, but also precise. One of the best things about Sancerre? It’s a white wine that appeals to almost everyone, no matter what white wine they prefer. If you’re hosting a party or have guests with varying tastes, you can never go wrong with a beautiful Sancerre, especially one like this. While I have your attention, some fun facts to smarten you up on the subject of Sancerre: 1️⃣ Sancerre is in the most eastern, inland part of the Loire Valley. 2️⃣ Sancerre is best known for its white wines, which are always made with Sauvignon Blanc grapes. 3️⃣ Sancerre was once considered part of Burgundy, so the region also produces exceptional red wines from Pinot Noir grapes. (And they are usually much cheaper than Burgundies.) Chin! #wine #whitewine #frenchwine #sancerre #sauvignonblanc #holidayparty

These are my absolute favorites out of who knows how many. 😂 😇 Not in any order either. So here we go! Odfjell Orzada Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 Notes and a bit more about this wine! Complex on the nose, presenting aromas of blueberries, cherries, strawberries, plums and tobacco. On the palate, it is fresh with pleasant acidity and round tannins. This came expresses notes of prunes and chocolate in the hint. A classic expression of the Maipo Valley for the “king of grapes”. Fermented with native yeasts, minimal intervention, and aged in new and used barrels. This wine is a perfect combination of fruit and oak. The grapes come from a cooler sector in Padre Hurtado, Maipo Valley, which guarantees that the grapes reach a perfect ripeness for producing a traditional, complex, and elegant wine that truly respects Odfjell’s style. Great wine and it’s priced at around $22.99 depending on where you get it. I highly recommend this wine. I hope you found this helpful in choosing a great wine! DRINK, BE MERRY & GO BE AWESOME!!
