Have you tried using honey to improve seasonal allergies? The idea that consuming local honey can improve seasonal allergies is a popular belief, but scientific evidence to support this claim is limited. Local honey contains small amounts of pollen from local plants, which some people believe can help desensitize the immune system to pollen allergens and reduce allergy symptoms. However, the pollen found in honey is typically from flowers, not the airborne pollen that triggers seasonal allergies. While some individuals may experience anecdotal relief from consuming local honey, studies have shown mixed results. The effectiveness of honey in reducing allergy symptoms likely varies from person to person, and it may not provide significant relief for everyone. It's essential to note that honey should not be used as a replacement for prescribed allergy medications or other evidence-based treatments. If you have seasonal allergies, it's best to consult with a healthcare professional to develop an appropriate treatment plan based on your specific symptoms and medical history. #honey #seasonalallergies #parenting #health #parents #drcandicemd #kidshappyhealthy

Seasonal Allergies??? Constant sneezing, coughing, watery eyes.. and then the sinus infections. Oh, the sinus infections and the never ending cycle of antibiotics! Seasonal allergies used to plague me too. But, now, that’s a thing of the past. I RARELY have allergy issues at all anymore. Even when allergens are high, like they are now. I’m good. Allergies are an immune response. ProBio5 restores your gut (your immunity power house ), and therefore, can significantly lessen, or even completely get rid of, seasonal allergies! Sometimes even food allergies! I’ve seen both happen numerous times. Do you suffer from allergies and want help? #allergies #seasonalallergies #guthealth

What You Need to Know about Allergies Allergies can be a really crazy, but understanding them can make all the difference. Basically, an allergy is your body's way of overreacting to something harmless, like pollen, dust, or certain foods. It can trigger annoying symptoms like sneezing, itching, or even more serious reactions. So, what can you do if notice some symptoms? First off, if you know what you're allergic to, try to avoid it. If it's pollen, maybe stay indoors when it's super windy, or use air purifiers to clean the air inside your home. If it's food allergies, always read labels and be cautious when eating out. But let's say allergies catch you off guard. Don't worry, there are some first aid measures (as a first aider of course) you can take. For fever-type allergies, over-the-counter antihistamines can help calm down the symptoms. If it's a more severe allergic reaction, like trouble breathing or swelling, that's when you gotta call for help! In all, still see your doctor to ensure you are fully okay. Remember, allergies might be annoying, but they're manageable. Just stay informed, take precautions when you can, and know when to seek help if things get serious. Have you encountered any form of allergies before? How did you handle it? #Allergies #healthcontents #contentwriter #letstalk

Nut allergies are particularly prevalent in newborns and young children. Peanut allergies affect around 3 out of every 100 babies. About 1 in every 5 of them may outgrow it, but the remainder will likely develop a peanut allergy as adults. A nut allergy develops when the body's immune system becomes over-sensitive to a protein in a nut. Being exposed to nuts can cause a variety of symptoms, some of which are severe and potentially fatal. It is important to understand that a nut intolerance is very different to nut #allergy. A food intolerance often affects mainly the digestive tract and produces fewer significant symptoms. A is for Anaphylaxis Anaphylaxis is a severe, potentially life-threatening allergic reaction. It can occur within seconds of exposure to an allergen. It can impact multiple bodily functions -— digestive, immune, respiratory, skin, heart — appearing as hives, stuffy nose, itching, coughing, throat closing, dizziness, abdominal pain, wheezing, vomiting, diarrhea, low blood pressure. Know that each person’s reaction will be different it. And, one person’s reaction might be different the next time. #MeetingProfs always ask your attendees in registration if they have food allergies. If they say yes, ask them how their allergen is triggered — eating, touching, or inhaling. This could play into what you serve and it is served. ALWAYS have an emergency plan in place. Ask your venue if they have epinephrine onsite and who is trained to administer it. Also ask the local EMTs if they carry it and who their team can administer. Also ask them what to say when you call with a food allergy reaction.
