Last week, John D. Plante, Anthony W. Ravosa, Jr., and I paid a visit to Secretary of Housing & Livable Communities, Ed Augustus, and his Senior Advisor, Gina McLaughlin - our fellow building mates at 100C.  We shared experiences and ideas on how Commonwealth agencies can do their part to accelerate the housing production policy goals of the Healey-Driscoll Administration and streamline permitting on their own accord - an overlooked role in the process amid all the attention being paid to MBTA Communities zoning reform at the local level.  We also discussed creative ways to leverage the development of housing on state-owned properties through low-interest federal financing for transit-oriented development. As many of you know, I'll be happy to talk your ears off - any time, anywhere - about the tremendous TOD opportunities being unlocked by the U.S. Department of Transportation's TIFIA and RRIF programs.
