Ahold Delhaize USA, owner of Food Lion and Giant Food, is teaming up with General Mills to promote regenerative agriculture for wheat and oats, aiming to reduce emissions. 🌱 They’ll co-invest in farms using practices like cover cropping on over 70,000 acres in Kansas and Saskatchewan by 2025. This follows Ahold Delhaize's earlier project with Kellanova in North Carolina. The Ecosystem Services Market Consortium will oversee impact measurement and verify greenhouse gas reductions. 🌍 General Mills has already invested millions since 2020 to support Kansas wheat growers, benefiting producers, corporations, and consumers alike! 💚 #SustainableFarming #RegenerativeAgriculture #ClimateAction #GreenEnergy

#RegenerativeAgriculture is gaining traction. Having grown up on a farm, I'm all for it. Will this new collaborative endeavour bear significant tangible outcomes? I'm hopeful yet key decisions/steps in the #food #valuechain must be revisited/reimagined to preserve and leverage the full benefits of RA and truly support and recognize the hard work of #farmers and #producers. #foodmarketing #foodretailing

Imagine picking up your fresh veggies just a few steps away from where they were grown—right inside the supermarket! That’s exactly what SweGreen is enabling! 🥬 This Swedish startup is turning traditional grocery shopping on its head with vertical farming right inside supermarkets. No long transport, no extra packaging—just fresh, locally grown greens available directly in-store. The best part? It's using less water and energy compared to conventional farming. It’s a great example of innovation meeting sustainability, and it's exciting to see how this could shape the future of grocery shopping. 🌍💡 Could this be the next big thing in how we buy our greens? #localproduce #sustainableliving #verticalfarming

We’re reimagining dairy farming with the Milk Sustainability Center (MSC). We teamed up with DeLaval and Dairy Data Warehouse (DDW) to introduce the MSC to farmers across Europe. The platform helps dairy farmers by bringing their data together, providing valuable insights, and reducing manual data entry. As Alexander Berges, Production System Manager at John Deere, puts it, "The Milk Sustainability Center was developed to help dairy farmers achieve their goals while addressing the increasing expectations of dairies, retailers, policymakers, and consumers." #JohnDeereEurope
