At Nassini Foundation, we believe that every community deserves the tools and resources to shape its own future. In regions like Mia, Northern Uganda, where challenges are immense, our work becomes not only about providing aid but about empowering individuals to lead change themselves. We see our mission as a partnership—a shared commitment to bring about sustainable transformation. When we identify communities in critical need, we don’t just step in with quick solutions. Instead, we develop a strategic roadmap that addresses both immediate needs and long-term growth. In Mia, for example, our focus includes: • Investing in education to open doors for every girl, creating lasting opportunities. • Ensuring access to clean water, which is fundamental for health and dignity. • Equipping farmers with modern practices to improve crop yields and reduce hunger. • Supporting economic projects that pave the way for financial independence and resilience. • Providing shelter and stability for families displaced by crisis, with dignity at the core. • Inspiring local leaders to drive and sustain development from within. By sharing this work, we extend a call to service—a chance for others to join us in standing with communities like Mia. Together, we can be part of a movement that not only addresses immediate needs but also plants the seeds for a resilient, self-sustaining future. Let’s make Northern Uganda and the world at large a testament to the power of shared purpose and compassion.

#GreatLakes Today One year after I worked in the Management Team in a Key role (Programme Support) for the success of this regional conference that we called together Regional Multi Stakeholders Conference which was held in Kigali in March 2023. I remember the impact that this event had on our +100 young leaders who are the beneficiaries of this project in 5 countries (DRC, Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda) who to this day have forged very good relationships in all sectors/areas with different stakeholders and decision-makers in the wider region, facilitating their dialogue and exchanges for lasting peace in the region. These kinds of links that we are fostering for young people will continue in our future EU projects. Even if the project is closed now, Just to tell our youth groups and Initiatives to keep up their good work, their initiatives are promising and can create meaningful impacts in their own communities and in the end we can have a progressive Great Lakes region. #4YouthDialogue #KAS #PeaceConflict #Transformation

As Rwandans, we can support local entrepreneurs and start our own businesses to create jobs and drive economic growth. 4. Embrace Technology: Embracing technology and digital innovation can help us stay competitive in a rapidly changing world. By leveraging technology, we can improve our efficiency, productivity, and access to new opportunities. 5. Promote Unity and Peace: Building a peaceful and united society is crucial for sustainable development. As Rwandans, we should promote unity, reconciliation, and social cohesion to create a conducive environment for growth and progress. 6. Protect the Environment: Protecting the environment is key to ensuring sustainable development. By adopting sustainable practices, conserving natural resources, and reducing waste, we can contribute to a healthier and more prosperous future for all Rwandans. 7. Participate in Community Development: Getting involved in community development projects and initiatives can help us make a positive impact on the lives of others and contribute to the overall well-being of our society. By taking these actions and working together as a united and determined nation, we can continue to develop ourselves and build a bright future for Rwanda.

Walking on cracked soil, yet surrounded by beauty Uganda’s red earth tells a story—cracks in the soil that speak of challenges, yet in the same landscape, vibrant flowers and resilient trees bloom. It’s a powerful reminder that, like the land, life often holds both struggles and beauty. This definitely counts as well for the people I met that fled their countries because of conflict. Their stories leave me speechless, as amidst all these cruel realities, they still speak of rays of beauty and hope. Yet I’ve also met people who have lost all hope. Connecting them through our partnerships with local organisations offers a lifeline. They witness fellow countrymen who went through similar struggles, yet found a way to rebuild their lives. I’m grateful to be here for our LEAD Uganda programme, where we witness the resilience and hope of communities overcoming adversity. Together, we’re nurturing growth—empowering individuals, fostering local leadership, and building brighter futures where refugees and host communities thrive together, even when the path is uneven. Seeing the beauty amidst the cracks is an art, and it’s in these broken places that we often witness love and unity at work, bringing restoration and hope.
