The session was incredibly engaging and exuberant with topics ranging from the hilarious to the thought-provoking. 🤩 Jumping into the Table Topics session was an incredible experience, where I tried my impromptu speaking skills. 📍 Joining Prestigious Competetion and Awards At Toastmasters, we have four prestigious competitions: humorous speech, Table Topics (Impromptu), Evaluation Speech, and International Speech Contest. It is a privilege to be on the stage, to compete, to face one's own fear, and to demonstrate the art of speaking. Over 130 clubs are now preparing for Toastmasters' biggest event, the Humorous Speech and Table Topics Competition. Yes, at Toastmasters New Zealand North District 112, we learned when to use #humour in a #conversation, #meeting and #presentation. Table Topics is an #impromptu speech, and you were like having an #interview. We learned when to use our hands for gestures and increase our tone or pitch. A Red Alert if you use #ams, #ah, #so, #fillers, #you know. I could write more than 1,000 stories about how Toastmasters New Zealand North District 112 truly makes a difference and truly cares about people.
