Advertising is something that we've learned to accept and expect. It's even a critical feature of many streaming service subscription options, so whether you're tuning into cable, streaming, YouTube, or even social media -- there will be ads.
If ads are inevitable, that means consumers will be tired of them, especially when they are repeated in a pod. To avoid this, you'd better create a strong ad that's catchy, interesting, and to the point.
Liberty Mutual Insurance has done just that.
Their Liberty jingle combined with their rather amusing mascot, LiMu Emu, has won a place in the hearts of many viewers. It checks off everything on the list and is incredibly memorable and almost iconic. Evoking nostalgia, it's 1970s-themed, as LiMu and his buddy Doug drive a Plymouth Duster.
This nostalgia (in combination with creativity and quirkiness) is the perfect recipe to resonate with their target audience.
