These governments funnel billions of dollars in taxpayer money, directly or indirectly, to eliminate defenseless Palestinian civilians from their homeland, homes, and history—a tragedy unmatched in modern times. So, who truly qualifies as a terrorist? The word "terrorist" originates from the French term **"terroriste,"** first used during the **French Revolution (1789–1799)** to describe those who carried out state-sanctioned violence during the **Reign of Terror (1793–1794)** under figures like **Robespierre.** At that time, it referred to government actors using fear and mass executions to achieve political aims. Today, anyone defending their dignity, land, family, or country—even with primitive means—against oppressive imperial or occupying powers is often labeled a "terrorist." Yet, the reality is that many Western administrations, responsible for killing innocent and defenseless civilians across the Arab world and beyond for political or economic motives, are the true terrorists of our time.
