Are you joining MBA this year? Then please don't skip it. You eventually want a good package and placement. That's the fact, and to do this, one of the best ways is by joining the placement committee. Everyone knows being on the placement committee gives you an advantage, so here are the key points you should consider to increase your chances of getting into it. 1. **Talk to Seniors**: Ask them about the selection process – every school is different! 2. **Roadmap to Success**: Create a step-by-step plan to work on the required skills and experiences. 3. **Value Proposition**: Understand how you can add value to the committee – just like crafting your "Why this B-School" essay. 4. **Network Early**: Start building relationships with current committee members. 5. **Mock Interviews**: Practice with peers to perfect your pitch and answers. Last but not least, show enthusiasm and eagerness to join. PS: follow on insta-simpcoder; posting many other tips there which you don't want to miss! #mba #iim #iit #placement #bschool

🚀Launching Your Career After BBA: Key Steps to Get into a Top University for MBA An MBA can be a game-changer, but getting into a prestigious program requires a solid strategy. Here are some key steps to make your dream a reality: 1. Gain Relevant Work Experience: Most top universities prefer candidates with 2-3 years of professional experience. Look for roles that align with your career goals—be it in marketing, finance, operations, or management. Internships, full-time jobs, or even entrepreneurial ventures can add significant value to your profile. 2. Prepare for Entrance Exams: Dedicate time to understanding the exam format, practice consistently, and aim for a high score. Strong performance in entrance exams can significantly boost your chances of getting into a top-tier MBA program. 3. Build a Strong Profile: Showcase your leadership skills, extracurricular achievements, and unique experiences. Volunteer work, leading projects, or participating in competitions can set you apart from other applicants. 4. Research and Shortlist Universities: Identify the universities that align with your career goals and strengths. Consider factors like program specialization, faculty, alumni network, placements, infrastructure, learning facilities, exchange programs, and global rankings. Tailor your applications to highlight why you’re a perfect fit for their program. 5. Craft an Impressive SOP and LORs: Your Statement of Purpose (SOP) and Letters of Recommendation (LORs) are critical components of your application. Make sure they reflect your passion, career goals, and readiness for an MBA journey. Seek recommendations from mentors who know you well and can vouch for your skills and potential. 6. Prepare for Interviews: Be ready to articulate your goals, experiences, and why you want to pursue an MBA. Practice common interview questions, engage in mock interviews, and stay updated on industry trends. 7. Network with Alumni and Current Students: Connect with alumni and current students to gain insights into the program, culture, and opportunities. Networking can also provide valuable tips for your application and interview process. An MBA from a top university is within your reach—plan strategically, stay focused, and keep pushing forward! #bbatomba #mbajourney #mbaadmissions #topuniversities #careergrowth #highereducation #businessschool #mbacareer #careerplanning #gradschool #mbaprep #futureleaders #careerstrategy #leadershipdevelopment

Two years back, I took the most important decision of not going for an MBA. I went for campus placements instead, just after my BBA. Since then, I’ve been listening to so many people giving me useless opinions. I had many reasons for not going for an MBA and some of them included. - Figure out my life before doing that. - What is the purpose of my life? - Why I want to do an MBA - Should I really go to a regular MBA college? Honestly, it was the best decision that I could have taken. Check : https://rb.gy/6ua0l2 I got to spend more time with myself and figure out what exactly I want to do. Sometimes not taking the path that literally everyone is taking can be the most challenging thing in itself. But it will all be worth it in the end. For anyone figuring out life after their bachelors. #MBA #linkedln

𝐀𝐍 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍 𝐋𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐀 𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐎 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐔𝐏𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆 ~10,000 𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐎𝐅 ~25 𝐈𝐈𝐌𝐬/𝐓𝐎𝐏 𝐁-𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋𝐒 𝐀𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐒 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐀. Dear incoming juniors, I hope you are doing well. By this time, you all would have finalized college or would be in the final phase of deciding on it, in which you will be going for your MBA degree for the next two years, 2024-2026. In this regard, there were a few key points that I would like to talk to you about, such as what you should keep in mind before landing on campus so that it would be beneficial for you before you start your journey. 1. 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐓 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍: It may be that you have gone through many ups and downs in the past, be it in your career or personal life, but now that you have a life-changing opportunity in the form of the offer in hand, keep your past experiences aside and start with a fresh note in the upcoming months. 2. 𝐍𝐎 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐈𝐂𝐄: There is always a better choice we wish we could have taken: a better performance, a better college, better marks, or better experience. But if you have decided to take a call, believe in that. 3. 𝐃𝐎𝐍'𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐊 𝐎𝐅 𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄: If your decision to join the college is final, there shouldn't be regret about dropping out for the following year. Every time is perfect to start something. 4. 𝐃𝐎𝐍'𝐓 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐊 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐎 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐔𝐒: Be it with respect to people, placements, or academics. Come with a free and fresh mind. 5. 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆: Before coming to campus, visit your past company, college, coaching, and school, and meet the people who made you what you are today. Your teachers, managers, and seniors who have helped you. Be grateful to them. 6. 𝐃𝐎𝐍'𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐅 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐍𝐘𝐎𝐍𝐄, 𝐘𝐎𝐔'𝐑𝐄 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐐𝐔𝐄: There would be people you would meet with different experiences, academics, and backgrounds. Refrain from comparing yourself with them; everyone is unique, and B-schools provide a platform to prove yourself. 7. 𝐍𝐎 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐒 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐄𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐒: There may be 100s of things you would have heard from others that you should start just after entering, be it in networking, academics, participation, case studies, etc. But chill, don't think about mammoth pressure before. All things will be done well, and you will handle them. In the end, it's always one mantra: 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐭. Go free-minded, live your life, make memories and friends, and have a great time ahead. If you need any help, feel free to contact me. :) Best wishes for a successful and enriching academic year! Warm regards, Pushpesh Prashant Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli

During my 2 weeks Induction and pre-foundation program, I've realized what I used to hear that MBA is not only about making right selections but also about right rejections. If there is a useless event, don't attend it always. As these events are mostly in the later part of the days, so prioritize resting yourselves instead and then have dinner which helps you to wake up till late and it ultimately helps you in learning more. In short, thoughtful choice and balance is very important in managing your time as the only time for skill enhancement is first year when we are a bit far from rat race of placements. After all, our primary goal is to be industry-ready, and that requires a focused approach that aligns with our long-term goals while still enjoying the vibrant cultural and social aspects of our MBA journey. #opinion #mba #selfimprovement #content
