There are no bounds to creativity! Yes it is indeed true and I come across this almost everyday when I try to work different ways in different kinds of gift packing requirements. What is learnt through this there is always a unique way in which your mind works when applying different ideas. There will be challenges, disappointments, and you will feel that nothing more can be done now. But then you get a kick-start when work is your passion. Like this gift packaging for me!! Sharing a glimpse of recent Sherwani Packing done by me. #giftpackaging #trousseaupacking #workispassion #handmade #creativity

Can you fire your mum? Before you say, "Hey, you can't fire your mum." You absolutely can. Read till the end to understand, it'll change your whole perspective. Keep in mind that over the past 23 years, I have invested thousands of hours training with my mum to make the perfect chapatis, tasting them every day, noon, and night. But yesterday when I asked for chapatis, she served me… idlis. Yes, idlis. Not what I was expecting. Even the idlis were lacking the soft, spongy texture. When I asked her about this, she deviated from our usual "employee to employer" arrangement and said, “I'm your mum, you can’t fire me. Stop complaining and eat what you have.” Keep in mind that I made her a mum while running a full-time media agency on one side and a drop shipping business on the other inside her womb (that's a separate story for another day). I was shocked by her lack of Professionalism but without saying a word, I looked at her and said two more words, "Challenge accepted." I finished everything on that plate and decided to fire her first thing after that. I may have come from her, but clearly, the poor idli/chapati standards and the excuses associated with it didn't. So I fired her (verbally, because her dismissal letter was still printing in the other room). But do I consider investing years into our kitchen-based mentorship and encouraging her culinary growth a loss on my end? Absolutely not. It's a huge win. Because sometimes, doing the right thing for your taste buds is the only way forward. Thoughts? Thanks to Ken Cheng for the inspiration

🌿 Behind the Scenes: Our Packaging Journey When we set out to design SOAPBOTTLE’s packaging, we had big ambitions: a 2-in-1 gift and shipping box that saved materials and created an unboxing experience aligned with our values of sustainability, creativity, and functionality. The idea: avoid an unnecessary (often far too large) shipping box containing the actual packaging of the product. But during testing, the reality hit hard—our soap bars arrived damaged. This setback forced us to postpone the launch, meaning we missed the festive season when our bars would have been the perfect gift. While disappointing, it also gave us time to refine our packaging. Creating a solution that uses minimal materials to protect delicate soap bars while providing a beautiful unboxing experience is no small task—but it’s one we’re determined to solve. We’re sharing some behind-the-scenes videos of testing the packaging. And what better way to do it with a crate of beer? We’re not quite there yet, but we’re making steady progress. For us, it’s about balancing functionality, sustainability, and design to bring you a product that feels as special as it is thoughtful. What do you think: How important is the unboxing experience to you? Should we keep perfecting our 2-in-1 box or prioritize simplicity? Let us know your thoughts below! 💬 #SOAPBOTTLE #Sustainability #DesignChallenges #BehindTheScenes

Better Nature Tempeh's updated packaging has hit the shelves 🤩 Most people won't notice the difference but the team and I are buzzing 😂 To be honest, that's what we were aiming for. We've worked so hard to build up our brand awareness over the past few years, especially the past 18 months, so it was important for us not to compromise that. However, we knew there were some key areas where our packaging wasn't delivering as much as we wanted it to. Including being entirely reflective of the brand we're building, maximising shelf stand out, communicating taste and making it super clear how the products can be cooked. So, many months ago, we mapped out what needed to stay the same (most important) and what needed to change. And many iterations, some production issues and more time/stress than we'd like to admit later, our new packaging has finally launched! There's always more to do, but it's definitely a big step in the right direction and the positive feedback we've received already has been brilliant 😃 A huge shout out to Ursa Dornik, Noora Pärssinen and Fabio Rinaldo for all your fab work on this. If you see the products, I'd love to hear your feedback. Please send it to me on here - good or bad! (Yes that is my stockpile of Bold Bean Co at the top of the cupboard 😋) #Packaging #PackagingUpdate

When was the last time a product’s packaging TRULY grabbed your attention? It is safe to say I’m obsessed with Chaos Packaging right now! I couldn’t resist sharing another post on chaos packaging – a design trend I mentioned last week that’s bold, unconventional, and unapologetically loud. This clip from Today USA is another good explainer: https://lnkd.in/gXw2K6pb In a world where consumers are bombarded with choices, standing out on shelves (or on someone’s screen) has never been more critical. For small businesses in Australia, especially in the competitive FMCG and beverage industries, packaging is often the first handshake with your customer. And while clean, minimalist designs have their place, chaos packaging is a reminder that sometimes disrupting expectations is the best way to grab attention. 💥 So, what can we learn from this trend? 💥 Emotion over perfection: Consumers connect with authenticity, even if it’s messy. 💥 Maximalism works in the right context: Think of it as visual storytelling in a glance. 💥 Differentiate to dominate: Standing out is non-negotiable in crowded markets. 💡 How can Australian brands tap into this? Whether you’re rethinking your design for the craft beer aisle, launching a new line of energy drinks, or even packaging premium olive oil, this is your chance to experiment and find what sparks curiosity in your audience. I’d love to hear your thoughts! Which brands have you seen in Australia nailing this trend? Let’s discuss ⬇️ #chaospackaging #packaging #branding #product #disruption
