I noticed one employee was pouring out a large container of #Elmer glue into a handheld dispenser. I asked the person what the glue was for. She replied–the paste is used to glue individual #advertisement posters to pizza cartons. I made a comment, saying it surprised me they didn’t come pre-printed on the individual packages. She responded, I wish; then she paused on gluing because she noticed my #pizza was coming out of the stove. She headed straight back to the oven ( 🦠 did not stop and wash her hands or put gloves on) and grabbed a pizza pan to retrieve my pizza. Placing the pizza in the box untouched until she grasped a corner of the pizza to center the pizza. Then, with her other hand, she grabbed a pepper and placed it in the box too. I was thinking to myself; I do not want glue as a topping. I politely asked for a refund and left. In the trial, shoppers select from a range of Pokémon toys at a screen on a regular in-aisle shelf, and receive a printed ticket, which can be scanned and paid for at a manned or self-checkout or with a Smartshop handset. Upon purchase, the shopper receives another printed ticket, which is scanned at a vending machine near the exit doors of the store. Once scanned, the machine dispenses the chosen toy.
