Wine producers excel in the art of winemaking, not packaging. However, in light of environmental concerns and the urgency of the climate crisis, it’s crucial to reassess #packaging due to its significant impact on the carbon footprint of wine production. In partnership with the Slow Wine Coalition, a thematic network of Slow Food, we are holding an immersion workshop for *members which will dive deeper into topics regarding primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging for the #wineindustry. This workshop will -explore the complexities of wine packaging -feature various guest speakers who will share their experiences and expertise in the field -evaluate the advantages and drawbacks of each solution *This workshop is available for members of The Porto Protocol and the Slow Wine Coalition. Registration links available on our website. This online workshop will include two sessions SESSION I – Understanding and addressing the environmental impact of wine packaging SESSION II – Collaborative Session on challenges solutions and future opportunities – the producer’s perspective Learn more about our current and past projects involving sustainable wine packaging on our website.
