Skåne's research parks and incubators are uniting to drive Swedish innovation, addressing the challenge of how to more efficiently translate research into innovative and growing companies that offer services and products beneficial to society. Recently, a dialogue meeting was initiated by Ideon Science Park and arranged in close collaboration with Medicon Village, SmiLe Incubator, Medeon Science Park & Incubator, Minc, Krinova Incubator & Science Park, and HETCH AB. Representatives from all political parties in the Swedish parliament participated.   The aim of the meeting was to find solutions to challenges limiting the growth of startups. Discussions covered, among other things, bureaucratic obstacles, cross-border barriers and how we can transform innovations into strong growth companies and at the same time secure Sweden’s development. The meeting marked the first step in a long-term dialogue with local, regional, and national politicians on how to collectively enhance conditions for SMEs to develop, secure long-term funding for innovation and business support, and ensure that research at our universities continues to evolve into products and services ready for a global market.” Speaking with a united voice for Skåne and for Sweden to maintain its position as a leading innovation nation. #publicaffairs #startups #skåne #sweden

𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽𝘀: 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 | The #BerlinBrandenburg capital region is one of the regions in Europe with the highest research density – around 30,000 scientists work here at universities and non-university institutes.  The startup factory UNITE aims to leverage this potential and develop Berlin and Brandenburg into a leading centre for #science #startups and sustainable #DeepTech innovations from 2025. The goal of UNITE is to triple the number of spin-offs from the sciences by 2030 – so that more and more good ideas find their way from science into practice. Around 34 universities and scientific institutions are joining forces to make it easier for research-related startups to get started and to build an extensive and tight-knitted network that links research, transfer offices, start-up centres, founders, associations and companies across state borders.  The aim is to create an environment in which founders and start-ups find the best conditions for a successful start and future growth.    Dr Manja Schüle, Minister for Science, Research and Culture of the State of Brandenburg: “Talented people need resources and networks to turn ideas into reality, to learn from and with others, to practice and experiment. What an inspiring day the 4TU Impact Support Day turned out to be! 💫 Yesterday, experts from the four technical universities came together to drive innovation and tackle pressing societal challenges. From energizing breakout sessions to hands-on tours, the day highlighted the power of cross-university collaboration and the collective drive for positive change. And the cherry on the cake was the announcement of the winners of the 4TU. Impact Challenge. Congratulations to J58 and Hippotainer! 🥳 J58’s advanced wheelchairs are making a real difference by enhancing the independence of their users, while Hippotainer’s mobile container gardens are bringing fresh produce to communities in Ukraine. Their innovations show just how much potential technology has for addressing real-world problems.
