Hello everyone! I'm excited to share my latest publication, titled "Length of Stay di Instalasi Gawat Darurat sebagai Indikator Mutu Pelayanan Kesehatan di Rumah Sakit X Tahun 2024." This article is based on my undergraduate thesis, exploring an important performance indicator in Emergency Department: Length of Stay (LOS). Prolonged LOS, especially for patients transferred from the Emergency Department to inpatient care, can lead to overcrowding, increase risks for patients, and impact overall satisfaction. Published in Jurnal ARSI (Administrasi Rumah Sakit Indonesia) in October 2024, this research uses lean thinking to examine service flow, identify barriers, and analyze root causes of LOS in Hospital X’s Emergency Department. I also provide recommendations for improving patient care and operational efficiency. You can access the full article through this link: https://lnkd.in/gh8pfCMj I hope this publication contributes to meaningful discussions and advancements in healthcare quality! #HealthcareResearch #EmergencyDepartment #LengthOfStay #LeanThinking #PatientCare #HealthcareQuality #Publication

President-elect Prabowo Subianto proposed a free general check up for million people of Indonesia. This idea is useful to detect and anticipate risks for the national health care system (BPJS Kesehatan) early, both operators, and participants. Moreover, similar to private heath insurance, participants should know their risk to non-communicable disease, such as coronary heart disease, chronic kidney diseases, stroke, DM, etc, as well as to be able to anticipate and take medicine, if needed. However, the population of Indonesia is so big. Indonesia is an archipelagic country, too. So many small islands and remote areas. They are real challenges to conduct the idea, if Prabowo desires to implement it. https://lnkd.in/g_Zn7KA3 Pemerintahan presiden terpilih Prabowo Subianto akan membuat program pemeriksaan kesehatan gratis mulai tahun 2025 dengan sasaran 52 juta penduduk.

The violence experienced by dr. YS in Papua is deeply concerning and completely unacceptable. Healthcare workers, especially those working in remote and challenging regions like Papua, are on the front lines providing critical health services. They deserve protection and security from both the government and the community. This case highlights the urgent need for stronger legal protections and security measures for healthcare workers in areas with conflict or limited resources. Incidents like this not only endanger the lives of medical personnel but may also discourage others from wanting to serve in regions that need them the most. In this situation, the quick response from the national IDI and the Jayawijaya IDI chapter is commendable, particularly in providing support to the victim and pushing for legal action. The government should also prioritize the safety of healthcare workers because such incidents can impact the quality of healthcare services in Papua and other remote areas. https://lnkd.in/gPTegeUB

"Self Care" by Bryce Holt - In June 2022, researchers in Indonesia observed a wild orangutan purposefully apply a poultice of sap and crushed leaves to an open wound on his face. It's likely the first time we've witnessed intentional wound treatment to this level by a non-human species, however, it's highly unlikely this is the first time it's happened. That orangutan was almost assuredly taught this. We evolved in the same way. Every aspect of modern medicine and healthcare has been learned and passed on. How beautiful to see it in another species. My painting depicts an exaggerated form of self care with a bandage on the orangutan's face. Humans are just evolved hairless apes who have a slightly more advanced level of medicine and the ability to communicate and save information. We're only a couple million years ahead of the orangutan, which is the blink of an eye in terms of time and evolution. Beginning in 2025, the Ministry of Health of Indonesia will launch a free screening test of health in order to detect health risks for children, adolescents, adults, and the aging people. This new program of President Prabowo should be complemented with comprehensive action, both to prevent intensifying the potential risk, and take curative action. Moreover, the government needs to apply medical technology more extensively, including AI-based digitalization, and advanced health technology, so that (in case) many new diseases (or potential diseases) of patients are still under control. Without preparing an anticipated solution, the results of the free screening test of health will emerge new things: statistics and confusion between the common people. #FreeScreeningTestofHealth #MedicalTechnology news in Bahasa Indonesia https://lnkd.in/gwqwTq8K Kementerian Kesehatan RI akan memberikan skrining kesehatan gratis setiap ulang tahun mulai 2025. Program ini bertujuan deteksi dini penyakit sesuai usia.
