5 rules to make Thanksgiving awesome. 1) Regardless of how you feel about the election don't take it out on your family. 2) Even when your family is annoying recognize they are doing the best they can with what they have to work with. 3) Eat what you want. You don't have to finish what you try. 4)Find a Salvation Army near you, spend time serving the less fortunate, and get some perspective. 5) This is a great holiday it's about Thanks and Giving. You do not have to have anything to be grateful. Giving what you can will increase your Joy.

With holiday planning coming up soon, we're reflecting on some of our favorite community programs at Chief Carriers. These initiatives, deeply rooted in our company's values, have a special place in our hearts. One such program is Wreaths Across America, a cause that resonates with our commitment to honoring Veterans. As Mandee Lade, our Driver Recruiter, shares, "I love what Wreaths Across America stands for and the impact it has on our community." Another important tradition is our Adopt a Family program, where we come together to support families in need during the holidays. As Mandee explains, "It's incredibly rewarding for our employees, our company, and the community." We can't wait to get these programs going again soon! They embody our passion for giving back and making a positive difference, and they brighten our holidays every year. What's your favorite annual community event at Chief Carriers or in the Grand Island community? Let us know in the comments below. #CommunityEngagement #PassionForPeople #LeadLikeChief

Lessons learned from Mr. D: 1. Tell your family how much you love them multiple times a day. 2. Keep the door of your home open to friends and family for a great meal and cold drink. 3. Keep the pool ice cold, not sure why but it's super memorable. 4. Coach and volunteer in your town. 5. Always be willing to drive kids home after practice, regardless of how far from your home they live. 6. Love and respect your country and neighbors no exceptions Happy Memorial Day!

Developing your ability to manage your thoughts and attitude is the start a prosperous and abundant life. Did you ever realize that finding out what you all have in life shows up after asking the question "what am I grateful for?". Ingenuity starts with gratitude, as this simply helps you in becoming aware how much you actually have around you. Don't get tricked by your non-conscious Creature Brain that focuses just on everything that's missing in life. Life is beautiful once you start reflecting with a pen and some paper.
Your list of “Chores” is actually a list of blessings. Every routine is backed up by something to be grateful for. “Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance” Ekhart Tolle. Those who are not thankful for what they have will never be grateful when they get what they want. “The more you practice the art of thankfulness , the more you have to be thankful for” Norman Peale So “walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet “.

Gratitude can be a powerful tool for improving your well-being, and your mental health matters and helps train your brain to notice and appreciate the little things in life and, in doing so, shifts your life experience tremendously!!!!
We become virtuous by the practice of virtue, responsible by the practice of responsibility, generous by the practice of generosity, compassionate by the practice of compassion. And we become abundant by giving thanks for our blessings. Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving! 🧡

Giving thanks through generosity. Check out this quote: “You don’t become generous by accident. Like with finances, fitness, or your career, you need a real vision and strategy to succeed. To be clear, we do need boundaries and to be centered. If we do this well, we can all become a powerful, collective force for good. But without a plan, we won’t be centered. The plan of action is what keeps us healthy and focused.” I love the idea of planning generosity. Being intentional about it. We are all busy making lists of what we need to buy for Thanksgiving dinner and what we need to buy for Christmas gifs. What if we make a list of what we need to do to live a generous life? What if we plan for it? I have a strong feeling we (and I include me in this, for sure) will do better than how we are currently doing it. Being intentional about stewarding treasure?
