"Never beg for a seat when you can build your own table." – Unknown As much as I love the conversation about young people securing a seat at the table and the endless possibilities that come with it, are we asking the right questions? Are we empowering them to develop the capacity and skill sets to be at that table? Here are the three questions I ask myself as I walk into these rooms: 1. Do I have the capacity to be at this table? 2. Is this the right table for me to be seated at? 3. When is it time to build my own table? Something to think about as we start the Week!!

Yesterday Kendra Vant was kind enough to share some experiences, thoughts and learnings from the book Radical Candor by Kim Scott in a Lunch and Learn. 🥪📖 And WOW What a session!🤩 Can't be thankful enough! Two key takeaways for me were: ⭐️ Loved the quote "Being a good boss is hard for everyone" If anyone says its easy they are not doing it right, and its nice to know everyone is on the same journey. ⭐️ The difference between Rock Star and Superstar - but mostly that we all go through phases and keeping mindful of not putting people in a box. If you want to join the next one please follow our page here on LinkedIn or on Meetup. The Tech Leadership Experiment #lunchandlearn #itleaders #radicalcandor
Thank you so much to Kendra Vant for hosting this session for us today 😘. So many great insights. For those who missed it please see the link for the recording below: https://lnkd.in/ghbuuXxk
