𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲? 🏗️🔍 A third of the calculations for steel connectors involve anchoring. That's a lot. One of the key checks for a tension anchor is a breakout cone, which can be a bit tricky. While one anchor is manageable, dealing with several closes to each other or in reinforced foundations requires employing engineering judgment. We can model and assess steel anchoring components very effectively. However, when it comes to concrete, it poses a challenge. Yet, when we transfer the results from the 𝗖𝗕𝗙𝗘𝗠 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 to the concrete 𝟯𝗗 𝗖𝗦𝗙𝗠 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹, add rebars, and everything falls into place. Then, we can accurately evaluate the stress levels in both the concrete and the reinforcement.
