The disciplinary process can feel lengthy and formal, so we've created a disciplinary flowchart to make the whole process easier. Following the disciplinary process correctly is crucial in order to protect yourself from legal claims, so cutting corners is not an option. Crafted from public information and following the ACAS Code of Practice, our flowchart is designed to ensure every step is accounted for, without needing to slog through 20+ pages. Although it does not replace the need for a properly crafted policy, it works as a valuable tool alongside it. ❓ Are the contracts of employment that you are issuing to staff compliant with the law? ❌ If you're still using some template you got off the internet way back when, then probably not. Employment law evolves rapidly, and the details that employers must supply to employees in a 'section one statement' (on or before their first day of employment) has evolved in recent years too. Often employers choose to include this and other mandatory information in a written 'contract of employment'. Did you know that since April 2020, the section one statement must (by law ⚖️) also include: ⏰ In relation to hours of work, it must give details of the days and hours of the week the worker is required to work and whether are not such hours are variable and, if they are, how they vary or how that variation is determined 🏠 Any terms and conditions relating to paid leave (other than holiday or sick leave) 💰 Any other benefits not covered elsewhere in the statement 📆 Details of any probationary period/trial shifts and the conditions applicable to them 📖 Details of any training entitlement provided by the employer 🏫 Details of any compulsory training 👩🎓 Details of any compulsory training that is not paid for by the employer Since April 2020, if you've been issuing contracts to your employees that don't contain this (and other) mandatory information required by law, you are putting your business at risk ‼️ 🤔 Are you certain that the contracts of employment you are issuing to staff are fully legally compliant? ✅ Are the employment contracts you are issuing right for your business and do they fully align with and support your unique needs? If the answer to either of these questions is 'no', get in touch today to get on the right path fast ⏩ 💪 We stay up to date with employment law, so you don't have to. 🔍 Check out our website to learn more or drop us a message here on Linkedin: https://lnkd.in/ebkPAZBN #employmentlaw #hr #contractofemployment #employmentcontract #hrcompliance #hrservices #hroutsourcing #smallbusinesshr
