There are many reasons your cold emails won’t get replied to. But most prospects don't reply because you don’t deeply understand them. - Where do they want to be, and who holds them accountable? - What’s delaying them from getting to where they’re going? - What are their daily pains and frustrations? To find these answers: - Talk to someone in a similar position like your prospects. - Learn from the publications or podcasts they listen to. - And follow similar profiles or pages they follow. To get in their mind, do what they do to think like them. What else would you add?

5 cold calling stats that blew my mind: 𝟏. 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞. So even if your prospect doesn't answer, there's still benefit. 𝟐. 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭: By success rate: - Bad time? --> 2.15% - How’s it going? --> 7.60% - PBO --> 11.18% - Heard the Name Tossed Around --> 11.24% 𝟑. 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟓 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Not Interested – 17% Product fit (not made for us) – 17% No budget – 16% Not my responsibility – 13% *hang up* – 11% These account for 74% of all objections, so if you can handle these ones, you're in good shape. 𝟒. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 Problem Language (frustrated, anxious) = 16% success rate Social Proof (mention of peer customers) = 12% success rate Buzzwords (all-in-one, revolutionize) = 5% success rate Problem language is 3x more effective than buzzword language often used in value propositions. Ditch your value prop and instead pitch to the problems you solve to earn your prospect's attention. 𝟓. 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞. Voicemails reveal you’re a salesperson and reduce your connect rate on all future dials by 28% (I recommend rotating the number you call from) But you should still leave them since they 2x your email replies (above the impact cold calling alone has). Are you hearing or are you listening? In this episode, Juozas Sargunas - Co-Founder of MELP - and I are discussing the challenges faced in startup recruitment and sales strategies. Cold outreach vs. building relationships. In B2B sales, it's so important to listen and learn about your potential client's company and how they do business. To show that we care about them. This way we can build credibility and trust. Juozas once waited for one contract for 7 years. The relationship he built led the company to call him first when the budget was ready. Does cold outreach conflict with this strategy? Or can it help? What is your sales strategy and how do you balance your business? Tune in to learn more about this challenging experience and learn what to avoid when creating a sales strategy! - 🎙️Watch (or listen to) Startup Recruitment Failures on your favourite channel.
