ANTHON BERG'S RECIPE FOR SUCCESS. TIM LUND SYDTOFT, INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MANAGER, TOMS GROUP A/S, INTERVIEWED. Achieving a 400% increase in sales in two years is a remarkable achievement by anyone's standards. In this very engaging interview with Tim, I ask him about the recipe for Anthon Berg's success. In truth, and as you may expect, it's a combination of things. Not just the fact that they offer a uniquely manufactured and sophisticated premium chocolate liqueur portfolio - he would never reveal the secret of how they make these chocolates without a sugar coating inside! But also the fact that their chocolates appeal to and span different generations. The company behind Anthon Berg, Toms Group, is constantly pioneering, innovating and refining their range, and the partnership with Diageo and Bailey's is a great example of this, where at TFWA Cannes earlier this month we saw the launch of Bailey's Tasting Collection. As you will hear from Tim, Anthon Berg is constantly in the hunt for new partners and Tim shared plans for new, exciting partnerships for 2025/2026 that also move the brand into completely new territory. You'll need to watch the short video to find out more about this and discover other surprises, too. There are clearly very exciting times ahead for Anthon Berg. https://lnkd.in/dcJiTQxw #AnthonBerg #AnthonBergRoyalSelection #BaileysTastingCollection #Confectionery Diageo #ExpandingPartnerships #NewProductLines #NewTerritory #PeterDige TFWA (Tax Free World Association) Tim Lund Sydtoft Toms Group A/S #TravelRetail

🇵🇹 In the last few posts, we discovered that Kerstin Houf was travelling in Portugal. Her aim was to push ahead with the planning and discussion of ProWein 2025 and to maintain an intensive dialogue with the winemakers from Portugal. The Portuguese joint stand at this year's ProWein was also a complete success and gave visitors the feeling of being on a trip to Portugal. We are proud that so many countries are so strongly represented at ProWein and that we can therefore guarantee the internationality of the trade fair. 🌍🍇 #cheersprowein #prowein2025 #prowein2024 #winesofportugal #prowein #proweintradefair

𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐈𝐍 𝐃𝐔̈𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐃𝐎𝐑𝐅 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 In the next few days it's time for ProWein 2024; a 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 for the fair which has been the undisputed leader of international wine fairs for years and which today must redeem itself, given the under-performing 2023 edition. According to many, in fact, 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬 could become the new main international wine fair, thus replacing ProWein in Düsseldorf. The latter would consequently return to being mainly a fair for the 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 and would act as a privileged meeting point for numerous markets in Northern and Eastern Europe. The German fair will be held from 𝟏𝟎 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟐 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 and will once again see 𝐈𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐲 as the protagonist, with over 1,190 registered exhibitors, although down compared to previous editions; followed by France (743) and Germany (708). Hey folks, just a reminder, London Competitions is hosting a webinar today (July 8th) at 10am UK time. The webinar is with importers and distributors of the UK and will cover UK wine trends, how to pitch your wine to UK wine distributors, what they are looking for in a partnership, and more. Unlock the secrets to successfully selling your wine to UK distributors and importers with our insightful webinar. Ideal for wine producers and exporters looking to expand into the UK or who are already being imported there. The session will feature 4-5 wine importers and distributors Carla Bertellotti, David A. Harvey, Michael Awin, David Wood and Frances Bentley and cover essential strategies to pitch and work with UK importers and distributors, along with market insights and trends. Sid Patel will be moderating this panel. Common questions we will answer include UK market trends, what distributors look for in a new brand when saying YES, and the current challenges in the UK market. We will also address questions from attending brands such as the best period of the year to find new distributors/importers, the influence of wine writers/magazines on purchasing decisions, how a US meadery can get UK distribution, and views on discounting wine – whether it is a good or bad idea. Additionally, we will discuss the possibility for minority varietals in the UK market, margin expectations, and whether international fairs or private events are better for gaining distributor interest.
