Healthcare staff and patients face tough challenges every day. Feeling valued and cared for makes a big difference. When kindness is part of our healthcare system, everyone benefits!
Kindness Saves Lives:
Violence against healthcare workers is getting more frequent and more severe.
Over 50% of healthcare workers report experiencing burnout.
Each year, more people die from medical errors than from car accidents or breast cancer.
Up to 70% of medical errors are linked to poor communication, often worsened by stress, burnout, and incivility.
The Australian healthcare and social assistance industries have seen the highest number of serious claims for work-related mental health conditions over the past five years.
Female doctors have a suicide rate 76% higher than the general population.

What’s gift giving like during the Christmas season in Germany in comparison to North America?
What about from your home country? Any differences? 😏

I came across the news today that NSW Government is launching a parliamentary inquiry into the impacts of loneliness (Ref: https://lnkd.in/eErqnbDq), it struck a deeply personal chord with me. This isn’t just a policy issue—it’s something I’ve lived through in the most challenging way
During the pandemic, I made a personal decision not to get vaccinated. It was a choice that led to many people (including life long friends and family) turning their backs on me, and I found myself more alone than I’d ever been in my life. The loneliness was overwhelming. My hair even started falling out from the stress and isolation. It was a time when I felt completely ostracised, like I didn’t belong anywhere.
That experience taught me just how much we all need one another. We’re wired to be connected, to be part of a tribe. When that’s taken away—when we’re isolated or cast out—it can feel like a piece of us is missing. But it also showed me the power of community, even when it feels out of reach.
OneAnother was created at the beginning of the pandemic, as I wanted to build a space where people could reconnect, no matter what their circumstances. We started hosting community connection events, and promoting frequent acts of kindness to bring people from all walks of life together.
It wasn't just about socialising, or volunteering — our community is about finding a sense of purpose, rediscovering our values, and practicing self-compassion. They’re about making sure no one ever has to feel as alone as I did.
I believe that by investing in our own purpose and values, and by being kind to ourselves and others, we can start to rebuild that sense of community. It’s not just about having people around—it’s about truly connecting with them on a deeper level. When we do that, we can become a collective again, a society where everyone feels they belong.
The government’s inquiry is a hopeful sign that we’re starting to take loneliness seriously. But real change starts with each of us, by reaching out, showing up, and being there for one another. Because at the end of the day, we all need someone to lean on.
Hey friends! 👋 Do you work with children or know someone who does? 🤔 Then you need to check out this topic we're about to dive into! 🤩 It affects all of us, and we can all learn from it. So, bring on those questions, and let's raise awareness together this month. 💪 #ChildrenMatter#AwarenessMonth
In this video:
I was approved for full Food Stamps ($290 Idaho) and full Medicaid due to my $3.35/hr job and expenses. I share the words of the woman who processed my benefits application by telephone when I told her about my pursuit. Yes...I told her about what led me to this point and what I'm doing now. Interested in hearing how she responded? I then spent the day reaching out to all of the local FB Page group administrators to make sure it was ok if I posted an ad for life and career coaching services for youth and young adults on their page. It's always best to start out on a good foot with page administrators! And...I searched for more foundations for grants for positive social, economic, and environmental change...and women owned businesses (cuz that's me!).
Last...I invite you to consider being a participant in the official, extended, professionally made series which will be pursued when the GoFundMe goal for this project is reached. I am looking for 6 young people (18-25) from economically disadvantaged and/or underrepresented background (female, LGBTQ, Black, Hispanic, Native American, etc.) who are willing to vulnerably share their emotions, challenges, and successes as they are guided to resources and community supports to reach their goals. You will have support from professionals in every aspect along the way. We will start with self-empowerment and career exploration. There will be honest feelings shared and coaching through difficult times so that the audience can benefit from your experience and be empowered by your growth. If you feel like you are up for the challenge, reach out. I would be happy to chat with you more about this opportunity.
**The Mission of our Positive Change “How To” docuseries is fourfold: 1) Empower disadvantaged and underrepresented populations, 2) Increase new sustainable & repurpose NPO, Co-Op, and B-Corp businesses (founded by disadvantaged populations), 3) Increase awareness, access, and affordability of all-natural & repurposed sustainable products & practices, 4) Emphasize effective, homeopathic mental and physical preventative health/lifestyle practices. We are taking a holistic approach for both humans and nature to thrive.
**Please check out our GoFundMe to make this into a high-quality, professional docuseries with a wider range of connections, opportunities, and awareness for Positive Change on a platform such as Netflix.
