This week we helped a local business woman who runs an absolutely gorgeous flower shop in Telford automate her Facebook shop! She operates a business on her own and struggles to find time to promote her business through her social media accounts. She pays a 3rd party to run her website and update products etc... so here is what we did to help.... We recommended she published a FB shop as she uses this media quite often to post photos of her bouquets but with no link to order...so we created a Call To Action for her. Every 2 weeks we automate a scrape of the website where she maintains her catalog and pass this into FB Commerce Manager. This automatically publishes her catalog to her social media account and follows with links back to her website for customers to order! #simple We also passed the requests to an Etsy shop too just to increase her exposure. Next phase is to implement a delivery service from her website automating the collection and delivery process from the well know delivery providers (Parcel Force, DPD, Yodel etc...) Get in contact with us to see how we can help your small business. Email : markus.witcomb@qaist.co.uk

Adding Etsy reviews to your website is a smart way to boost trust with potential customers. When visitors see real feedback from happy buyers, it adds instant credibility to your products and services. This kind of social proof shows that others have had great experiences with your brand, making new customers feel more confident in their purchase decisions. As a result, you're more likely to see higher conversion rates and, ultimately, more sales. #EtsyReviews #CustomerTrust #SocialProof #IncreaseSales #BoostCredibility #SociableKIT

Dear Josh Silverman, Nicholas Daniel, Raina Moskowitz, Rachel Glaser, Rachana Kumar, Toni Thompson (Nadal), Alice Wu Paulus I’m reaching out as the concerned spouse of a dedicated Etsy seller who has devoted over 5.5 years to building a thriving small business on your platform. My wife’s shop has achieved significant milestones, including: 103,363 Sales 23,638 5-Star Reviews Repeated Star Seller Status Despite this commitment to Etsy, her shop was recently suspended due to a supposed violation of the Creativity Policy, with no clear explanation or path to resolution. This sudden closure has devastated our livelihood and disrupted the loyal customer base. We received a vague email, and after asking for clarification, we were directed to the general policy page with no specific details. This impersonal, automated response is frustrating for someone who has consistently followed Etsy’s guidelines and upheld your values of creativity & craftsmanship. Here’s what we’ve done to comply: Filed an appeal, which was denied without clear reasoning. Provided detailed evidence proving that all our products are handmade. Asked to reinstate the shop and offered to photograph items as they are sold (since making every item upfront would cost us $40,000). No human response. We took sample photographs and requested approval before moving forward, only to be met with silence once again. Meanwhile, sellers violating trademark policies with Walt Disney Imagineering, National Football League (NFL), NCAA products remain active. Etsy’s new “Creativity Standards” are jeopardizing legitimate businesses like ours, while many others switch to platforms like Shopify, often advertising their new stores in their Etsy banners. We’ve remained loyal to Etsy and hold ourselves to high ethical standards, but feel that loyalty has been met with indifference. We urge you to help us resolve this and reinstate her shop, allowing us to continue serving the Etsy community. #KeepEtsyHuman #SmallBusiness #EtsySeller #CustomerSupport #Etsy #etsy

The Taylor Swift Effect isn’t just a pop-culture headline - it’s big business. Just ask creator and entrepreneur Cassey Ho, founder of Blogilates. With the release of Taylor Swift’s latest album TTPD, Taylor released a viral video in her ‘For a Fortnight’ Challenge. The video shows a 3-second clip of her wearing a Blogilates skirt and the impact on the business is remarkable. Since the feature, Blogilates instantly sold out of their Pirouette skort in 13 colourways and, for the first time ever, had to open pre-sales to meet the overwhelming demand for their product. To paint a picture of the impact on Blogilates' business… 🛍️ They now have close to 10,000 skorts ordered on pre-sale and climbing 🛍️ They saw a 600-700% increase in sales 🛍️ They had the second-best day of ALL TIME, only beaten by their 2023 Black Friday Sales Shopify merchants around the world are feeling the power of Taylor Swift 🌎 In January, Taylor was seen wearing a dress from UK merchant Little Lies who saw a 17,000% increase [yes, you read that correctly] in sales vs the same day last year and unsurprisingly had the best daily sales of all time for their business. And again, Taylor was seen wearing a piece from merchant The Westside Storey after a Kansas City Chiefs game on a Sunday in December. The following day, the merchant saw a 700% jump in sales. One of the biggest people in pop culture wearing the product of a small business is life-changing. For some brands, this influx of volume would overwhelm their store - but not on Shopify. We’ve built a platform to handle the demand and meet the power of the Swifties. The only question is: what product will go viral next? If it’s on Shopify, we’re ready for it. https://lnkd.in/eRHmkuh6

While the "Taylor Swift Effect" showcases impressive results for businesses on Shopify, the communication around such impacts seems overly simplified and somewhat disconnected from the complexities of marketing strategy. Highlighting massive sales increases post-celebrity endorsement paints an exciting picture, but it neglects critical aspects like the costs and strategic planning involved in securing such endorsements. Taylor Swift's influence is undeniable, and her endorsement can transform a brand's fortunes overnight—as seen with Blogilates and Little Lies. However, it's important to clarify whether these mentions are organic or part of a paid partnership. A single promotional post from someone of Swift's caliber could indeed cost upwards of 1 million euros. For many businesses, this is a substantial investment that may not always guarantee a return proportional to the expense. Furthermore, the communication implies a one-size-fits-all success model, which can be misleading. Not all brands will experience the same level of impact from a celebrity endorsement, and for some, the cost of such an investment could outweigh the benefits. Marketing strategies should be tailored to individual brand needs and market conditions, not generalized based on high-profile success stories. In summary, while the power of celebrity endorsements is clear, a more nuanced discussion about the costs, strategic planning, and realistic outcomes would provide a clearer and more practical perspective for businesses considering such moves.

The Etsy holiday TV campaign is brilliant. This video taps into all the reasons people liked Etsy to begin with- a marketplace to shop for unique gifts and products, made by artists. Something real, in a world of mass production and sameness. Great branding makes people feel something. And this, despite all of the issues Etsy has faced in the last few years- gets back to the heart of what they are. Worth a watch. Let me know what you think. Transcript below: What does a robot know about love? Or how to translate that leap inside the human heart into something we can see, and hold. The fingerprints we leave behind show how determined we are... to give the world a piece of ourselves. Etsy. Keep commerce human. https://lnkd.in/ebT6BM5z
