Ahead of the 2024-25 football season, #TheLosAngelesTimes has released a feature on the new phase of growth of Paris Saint-Germain under the custodianship of Qatar Sports Investments, entitled: “By ditching its superstars, Paris Saint-Germain aims to achieve something greater”. With PSG fielding its youngest-ever team in history against Le Havre in the first match of Ligue 1 last week (average age 22 years old), PSG’s future is built on youth, collectivity, the very best talent and long-term sustainability. PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi said, “I was asked who will be PSG’s star this year. It’s the team, the collective team. That’s our star, that’s our strategy, that’s our future.” The feature notes that the change in strategy doesn’t signal a change in ambition. Far from it. And what it does mean, however, is spending in a different way to achieve something much greater. See link below:- https://lnkd.in/edngUqyk

Ligue 1 Matchday 09 Olympique De Marseille vs PSG PSG In possession: -Throughout the game, PSG was heavily aggressive. As one of those moments of play comes through a dynamic 1-4-3-3 high press with narrow distances in central to avoid opposition receiver to have time and space, regaining possession to begin a transitional play towards attacking third. - PSG would be heavily dynamic as in second phase build up they would force opposition into a situational man marking + overloads through compact/narrow distances allowing to have vitinha ( highlighted player) with the right behaviour to understand situation as best possible receiver in a 7v6 central overload - Circulation In wide zone, PSG was as dynamic and expected with the fundamental of having numerical advantage + right recognition of moment of play in a 6v4 numerical superiority + individualism to progress. -PSG in a asymmetrical 3-2-5 high build up structure with fullbacks in different heights as Marseille applies a 1-4-4-2 midblock structure. W/o Possession: - PSG, would go for a man marking in wide zones with dynamism in their approach matching the numerical advantage from marseille. In case of progressing after the press, PSG compactness in short distances was a key fundamental part of their play to intercept and recycle to start a play. - In second 1st phase build up attempt from Marseille in a structure of 2-3-1-4 -PSG would keep their high dynamic press in central + forcing opposition possessor to not have time and space to deliver better distribution with single pivot in a tight marking as his pair anticipates and regains possession -Dynamic counter pressing in short distances to recycle possession. PSG was beyond exceptional! #LIGUE1MCDONALDS #FUTBOLTACTICO #FUTBOLENTREDOR #SOCCERCOACH #MATCHANALYSIS #POSITIONALPLAY #LUISENRIQUE #ROBERTODEZERBI #SPORTSANALYSIS #PSG #MARSEILLE

Ligue 1's Spotlight Dims Post-Mbappé Kylian Mbappé's departure from Ligue 1 has marked a significant shift for French football. As the league's standout star, Mbappé attracted global attention and boosted commercial appeal. His exit has created a noticeable void, with Ligue 1 struggling to maintain its prominence in the face of declining viewership and sponsorships. While the league continues to feature talented players, none have yet matched Mbappé's global impact. Clubs like Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are working to fill this gap through emerging talent and strategic signings. Despite these challenges, Ligue 1 remains competitive and vibrant. The league now faces the task of redefining its narrative and fostering new stars to reclaim its global spotlight. #footballminute #minutedigest #ligueun #mbappe

Video feedback on the national team "The Swiss rotations were excellent," said Avram Grant, and the Image (top right) shows Aebischer again in a central position, with Ricardo Rodriguez, the left-sided centre-back, out on the wing. With their rotations, Switzerland gained superiority in the centre of the pitch, where the three midfielders in Italy's 4-3-3 formation were outnumbered, particularly when Breel Embolo dropped deep into midfield. Crucially, the Swiss players were always available to receive between the lines. The recent announcement regarding #FootballAgent regulations in Italy from the FIGC (Italian Football FederationA) earlier in the week may have been a little underwhelming for some. Especially, since the "new" #FIGC Agents Regulations are yet to be published (and they come into force) as they are still subject to CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee) approval. Although these are not the long-anticipated new Italian Football Agent regulations, those in the football agent space should be aware of the amendments to the wording in the existing agent regulations to account for those #FFAR rules currently suspended by FIFA (as per circular no. 1873). The press release from 1st October'24 is attached, with basic translations in 🇬🇧/🏴🇵🇹,🇫🇷,🇩🇪,🇪🇸 and the original 🇮🇹 (as per the FIGC's wording). As soon as any new regulations are announced The Agents Angle will aim to bring you an update from Italy ASAP." #AgenteDiCalcio #AgentRegulations #FootballAgent #FIFAagent #FootballRegulation
