UNICEF Day For Change December 11th of every year stands as UNICEF’s date of founding and its ‘Day for Change’ movement. Day for Change is meant to shine light and spread awareness on children's rights and well-being across the globe. Children’s rights and the protection of those rights are an integral part of UNICEF's mission. UNICEF has consistently been the voice for those who are unable to speak up for themselves all around the world. UNICEF not only shares stories to spread awareness of child rights violations, but also provides services to children in need such as child healthcare, nutrition programs, child protection (social services and justice system), violence prevention, advocacy, safe water and sanitation, and education. UNICEF is a nonprofit that is able to operate due to the funding from voluntary contributions from governments, intergovernmental organizations, foundations, private-sector, and individual contributions. Since it is the season of giving, and if you are looking for a place to give to, why not consider donating to UNICEF this holiday season. #seasonofgiving #UNICEF #childprotection #DayForChange

Closing the equity gap for children means closing the funding gap. HIV-related philanthropy must prioritize children and youth in order to achieve an AIDS-free generation.
We are delighted to announce the launch of a new Data Spotlight on HIV-related philanthropy for children & youth. We've partnered with Funders Concerned About AIDS to create a new infographic on the extent to which HIV-related philanthropy addresses their needs. bit.ly/NewDataInfographic #reachallchildren

💡🏡You can give a child the gift of family today! There are over 150M children worldwide who do not have a family to call their own and statistically there are many children in your area who do not have a permanent, loving family. As a community of donors, we partner with Christian adoptive families who are welcoming children into their hearts and families through adoption. With the cost of adoption often ranging over $50,000, it's simply not possible for many families to complete the process. Will you help a child come into a loving home by giving a gift today? https://lnkd.in/eAMXMubC #christianadoption #orphansupport #supportingadoptiontogether

Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now is more than a theme for International Human Rights Day; it’s a call to action. For street children, basic human rights—like shelter, education, and protection—are not privileges. They are necessities that pave the way for a better tomorrow. Yet, millions of children remain vulnerable, their rights forgotten. We are committed to fighting for their future. By empowering these children, we’re building stronger, more equitable communities. But we can’t do this alone. Here’s how you can help: Donate to support our initiatives. Volunteer your time and skills. Advocate for their rights in your circles. Partner with us to make a real difference. Together, we can ensure that every child is seen, valued, and protected. #sccwi #streetchildren #educationforall #supportstreetchildren #everychildmatters #humanrights #internationalhumanrightsday

We head into a new year with a continuing commitment to vulnerable children, and that includes helping create communities where a child's race will never predict their life outcomes. Child Advocates launched racial equity workshops nearly 15 years ago to address the disproportionality of Black and brown children and youth in the child welfare system. Today, our workshop is titled "Interrupting Racism for Children," and it has expanded to help prevent racism in communities across Indiana. Thousands of people from every racial background have attended. And here is what some of them say: ⭐“This workshop really teaches everyone how to unlearn the stereotypes about other races because every bias we have is room for racism to keep growing.” ⭐"This workshop creates safe spaces for people to find common ground and shared purpose on behalf of children.” ⭐“I have never experienced a conversation about racism that both acknowledged the truth of everyone’s experience and stayed focused on our common purpose and the goal of solidarity. It was both refreshing and informative." Be a child advocate. You can help us build communities where every child has an equal and equitable opportunity to succeed. Support our workshops and our children's future. 18th July, Mandela Day, people should be encouraged to dedicate 67 minutes to community service, honoring Nelson Mandela's 67 years of public service. Some specific ways individuals can give back to their communities: 1. Help at Local Shelters: Spend time assisting at homeless shelters or food banks. This could involve preparing and serving meals, organizing donations, or simply providing company to those in need. 2. Community Clean-Up Drives: Organize or join efforts to clean parks, streets, lakes or beaches. This helps create a cleaner, safer environment and fosters community spirit. 3.Educational Support: Volunteer at local schools or libraries. Offer tutoring services, read to children, or help organize educational events. 4. Visit the Elderly: Spend time with elderly people in nursing homes or in your neighborhood or Old age homes.Engage in conversations, help with chores, or organize a small event to brighten their day. Giving back to your community is indeed important. It fosters a sense of connection, helps to improve the quality of life for others, and can provide personal fulfillment. Contributing time, resources, or expertise can strengthen community bonds, support local initiatives, and create a more supportive and resilient environment. Whether through volunteering, supporting local businesses, or participating in community events, every effort can make a significant impact towards Equality. #DEI#Equality#CommunityService# volunteering #Community bond#Connections#improvedquality of life#personalgoals#fulfillment#gratitude #givingback#peace #buildequalsociety#beautifulsafespaces
