Quality Tertiary Institutions (QTI)’s Post

Cabinet has agreed to disestablish Te Pūkenga and WDCs, create a network of ITPs focused on core delivery either as standalone entities or as members of a federation, and create new Industry Skills Boards (ISBs). Decisions on work based learning are still to be made, and no decision has been made yet on which ITPs will be autonomous and which will be part of a federation. There are also decisions to be made regarding funding for the new system and about the number and coverage of ISBs.
