💡#ISPOREurope spotlight - Podium: Managing and reporting missing utility data for health technology assessment (HTA). UK HTA guidelines place emphasis on consideration of uncertainty and validity of results. One common source of uncertainty, particularly for utility data, is missing data. However, there are no definitive guidelines on how to manage missing utility data in UK HTA. YHEC's Neil Hansell will be delivering a podium presentation at ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research Europe 2024, reporting the results of a study assessing multiple analytical methods for managing different types of missing utility data and providing recommended standards. We are happy to share a new publication involving researchers from the Chair of Health Economics, Policy and Management of the School of Medicine.   The association of hospital profitability and digital maturity – An explorative study using data from the German DigitalRadar project   Highlights   - Higher profitability is significantly associated with higher digital maturity - Hospitals’ large chain membership is strongly associated with higher digital maturity - For larger chains, profitability is more strongly associated with digital maturity - Larger chains have IT-strategies, and might benefit from central structures and cross-financing   This is the first publication using the nationwide DigitalRadar dataset describing German hospitals’ digital maturity. The three federal research funding agencies – SSHRC, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and Canadian Institutes of Health Research | Instituts de recherche en santé du Canada – have just released a new report - What We Heard: Tri-agency engagement with the research community on modernization of the federal research support system. Multiple engagement sessions hosted by leadership of the three agencies were held in July 2024. 75 proposals for new National Centres of Competence in Research (NCCR) submitted The SNSF has received 79 declarations of intent for new National Centres of Competence in Research. 75 outline proposals have now been submitted, all of which have been approved for the first evaluation round. They will be assessed by evaluation panels consisting of international experts by the end of September.
