What will happen if we use #PT1000 #RTD in place of #PT100? If a PT1000 RTD is used instead of a PT100, the following may occur: First, in terms of measurement accuracy, the PT1000 is generally more accurate because its resistance value changes more significantly with temperature, providing more subtle and accurate temperature measurements. Second, in terms of measurement range, the two may be similar, but due to the higher sensitivity of the PT1000, it may have a better response to small temperature changes. However, in actual applications, it should be noted that due to the different resistance values of the PT1000 and PT100, the measurement circuits and equipment that are matched with them also need to be adjusted accordingly. If no adjustment is made, the measurement results may be incorrect. In addition, the cost of the PT1000 may be slightly higher than that of the PT100, which may increase certain costs in large-scale applications. In short, there are advantages and areas that need to be paid attention to and adjusted when using the PT1000 instead of the PT100, which needs to be considered comprehensively according to the specific application scenarios and needs. ✨ Yokogawa EJA110E Pressure Transmitter Yokogawa's Differential Pressure Transmitter with DPharp digital sensor offers the performance and device intelligence needed to get greater insight into your process. Yokogawa's DPharp sensor can measure differential pressure (DP), static pressure (SP), and sensor temperature from a single sensor. Given these three pieces of process data, Yokogawa's transmitter can compensate the DP measurement for the Temperature Effect and Static Pressure Effect in real time. This is referred to as Dynamic Compensation and improves the DP measurement accuracy. ▶︎Level measurement in a chemical tank ❇️Success story from a metal manufacturer in Hamilton, Ontario. ❎The client wanted to utilize the tank capacity and had an ultrasonic level sensor, but due to a dead band, the echo was lost when the chemical level got close to the face. There were two problems: ❗️Reliability issue ❗️The tank capacity was underutilized The solution we proposed was UWT 80Ghz radar, which gives two instant benefits ✅ No dead band and loss of echo, maximum reliability ✅Full tank capacity, so more chemical The upgrading to latest technologycan brings significant benefits and less trouble. Let us know how we can help you and become your valuable instrumentation resource for reliability and cost savings. UWT GmbH UWT Level Control LLC (North America) #chemical #metalindustry #canada

Platinum RTD Types Comparison: Pt100 vs Pt1000 – Which One to Choose?
Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer | Gas Metering SME | Cathodic Protection | Maintenance Planning | Project Management | Professional Certified Trainer
🚨Platinum RTD Types Comparison: Pt100 vs Pt1000 – Which One to Choose? 💡Choosing the right RTD sensor for your application can be tricky, but here's a quick breakdown of Pt100 and Pt1000 types to help you decide! What is an RTD? RTDs (Resistance Temperature Detectors), or resistance thermometers, are widely used due to their reliability, accuracy, repeatability, and ease of installation. They work by measuring the change in electrical resistance of a metal as the temperature rises or falls. Although RTDs have some limitations, such as a maximum operating temperature of around 1100°F (600°C), they are ideal for a range of applications. But why choose platinum for the RTD sensor material? 🤔 Why Platinum? While RTD sensing wires can be made of various metals like nickel, copper, or tungsten, platinum is the most popular choice today. It's a bit more expensive, but here's why it's worth it: ▶Almost linear temperature–resistance relationship 🧮 ▶High resistivity (59 Ω/cmf compared to 36 Ω/cmf for nickel) ▶Non-degradable electrical resistance over time ⏳ ▶Excellent stability under varying conditions ▶High resistance to contamination 🧪 ▶Good chemical passivity 🛡️ Whether you're choosing between Pt100 or Pt1000, both offer the unparalleled performance of platinum, but with different strengths depending on your needs. Pt100 vs Pt1000: The Showdown ▶Pt100 is your go-to for industrial processes requiring lower resistance and higher current, but it's more susceptible to self-heating and cable length influences. ▶Pt1000, on the other hand, is ideal for battery-powered devices, HVAC systems, and applications where you need longer cable runs or low power consumption. Both options offer excellent long-term stability, but Pt1000 edges out slightly when it comes to noise sensitivity and power consumption. #TemperatureSensors #RTD #Pt100vsPt1000 #PlatinumRTD #IndustrialAutomation #TemperatureMeasurement #Sensors #Engineering #IndustrialProcesses #Instrumentation #ElectricalEngineering #PrecisionMeasurement #Automation #EnergyEfficiency #SmartSensors #EngineeringSolutions

The TOR-3 is designed for determining dielectric loss tangent and permittivity of transformer oils 🛢 and other dielectric fluids according to the IEC 60247 🌟 . It is a fully automatic device that allows testing according to the procedures defined in these standards, as well as according to the user procedures specified in the appropriate section of the setup menu. The difference between the amplitudes of the signals taken from the reference capacitor and the internal electrode of the measuring cell is proportional to the dielectric constant of the liquid under study. The phase difference between the signals taken from the reference capacitor and the internal electrode of the measuring cell characterizes the value of the dielectric loss tangent. follow our page to get all the technical testing information!!!!! Pumps are everywhere in the process industry world, and they are integral to keeping production moving along smoothly. Our Instrumentation Specialists know that using a few inexpensive instruments to monitor pump health, and keep production going, is an easy decision. That’s why they recommend a variety of WIKA Group sensors, transducers, and transmitters for monitoring pressure, flow, and temperature, to prevent damage and downtime due to pump failure. Here are just a few examples: 🔷 An A-10 Pressure Transmitter can measure pressure at the suction head that would lead to cavitation, damaging any pumps in the line. 🔷 Using an FSD-3 electronic flow switch can make sure a pump doesn’t run dry, causing it to overheat and fail. 🔷 The TR58 bearing RTD sensor monitors potential temperature changes in the bearings, which can indicate a developing failure. When monitored, operators have time to address the issue before a failure occurs.
