Every individual has the power to make a difference in society beyond their professional role. Engaging in volunteer work, advocating for causes they believe in, participating in community service projects, supporting local businesses, and actively participating in civic engagement are all impactful ways to contribute. Promoting dialogue and understanding, practicing environmental stewardship, performing random acts of kindness, and committing to lifelong learning and self-reflection are also crucial avenues for fostering positive change. By taking proactive steps and getting involved in various ways, individuals can collectively work towards creating a more equitable, compassionate, and thriving society.

Let’s talk about another Gen Z bright spot: they have a strong sense of social justice. I’ve been interviewing teachers and professors about what they are seeing in this latest cohort of young people. I had a fascinating discussion with one of my favorite thinkers, Hub Brown, Dean of the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications. He shared how this latest generation feels a call to action – on climate, on race, and on a variety of other issues. Not only does he see them discuss and wrestle with these problems, he sees them volunteering more than previous generations of students. How wonderful. #SocialJustice #FutureLeaders #NextGenThinkers
