Key learning when hiring this year: Focus on finding someone who has a strength you don’t have. Investing in someone smarter than you will always pay dividends to the team and the business.

One of my biggest lessons learned in hiring: Don't only hire someone for who they are right now. Hire people for the potential you see in them and you believe what they could accomplish in the future. Smart, driven people can learn a lot in 3-6 months. It's a lot easier to develop subject matter expertise than it is to develop intellectual horsepower and work ethic.

Want to know how we select our candidates at Rising Star Technologies? Hint: it's not because of their GPA or degree. We're looking for a different set of skills that aren't taught in college. ↪️Firstly, we want candidates who are curious. People who love to learn and experiment with new things. ↪️Secondly, we want people who are problem solvers. People who can think critically and offer solutions to complex problems. ↪️Thirdly, we want people who are adaptable. People who can work in fast-paced environments and adjust quickly to changes. ↪️Finally, we want people with a great attitude. People who are positive, collaborative, and passionate about what they do. So, if you think you fit the bill, show us what you've got! Because that's what matters the most to us. #recruitment #hiring #staffing #job #employment

Focusing only on skills when hiring is outdated. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱: 1)Prioritize attitude, then train the necessary skills. 2)Seek out those who align with your company's vision. 3)Hiring for attitude means choosing team players and problem solvers. 4)Skills can be learned, but a positive attitude comes naturally. 5)If someone's resume is perfect but their attitude isn't, reconsider. 6)Shift focus from merely skilled individuals to eager learners. 7)This strategy leads to a dynamic and cohesive team. That's the future of successful hiring—let's start this transformation. ------------------------------------------------ Amerify is hiring talented individuals. Are people attracted to huge growth plans? I see so many posts about hiring and the most consistent thing talked about is growth / hyper growth/ exit plans / financial events Is that interesting to a Software Engineer or a Project Manager? I speak to people on a daily basis and a huge reason they are looking at the market..... a PE firm took over. It makes me think: - ruthless culture / lack of security - lack of process / management structure - Short term focus on money over quality - Costs cut when financial events are on the horizon I think people don't think about what the person / candidate is actually looking for such as a good collaborative team, a nice manager, security, benefits, pay reviews, cool projects etc.... Or am I wrong? #hiring #growth
