In the realm of transportation, Digital Automatic Coupling (DAC) emerges as a game-changer, set to transform rail freight across Europe. DAC prioritizes safety, efficiency, and standardization, crucial for seamless rail freight transport. As the demand for integrated transportation grows, DAC technology becomes essential, ensuring enhanced safety for railway staff, streamlined operations, increased infrastructure capacity, and standardized practices.
However, its success hinges on collaborative efforts from all railcar owners, emphasizing the collective responsibility in advancing combined rail transport. These key points underscore the significance of DAC in revolutionizing rail freight across Europe.

Today's event at Train World was all about rail freight & DAC. Enabled by Europe's Rail Joint Undertaking, the European DAC Delivery Programme featured a panel discussion and a live Digital Automatic Coupling demonstration as part of the #ConnectingEurope Days.
DAC, or Digital Automatic Coupling, is a game-changer in rail freight transport. It is not just a system to couple and decouple the rolling stock in a freight train, it is a key element paving the way for a digital, automated and connected European railway system.
#DigitalAutomaticCoupling means:
⚡ Infrastructure capacity increase
⏱️ Reduction in operational time
🤝 Improvement in safety for railway staff
