Called The Old San Antonio Road, or El Camino Real (The King's Highway), it's is the oldest highway in the United States and connected the Spanish missions between Texas and Louisiana. 2) Ever wonder why it's called a "highway"? The word "highway" goes back to the elevated Roman roads that had a mound or hill formed by earth from the side ditches thrown toward the centre, thus 'high way'. The word "street" originates from the Latin word strata (meaning “a way paved with stones”). 3) What is the longest highway in North America? It's the Pan-American Highway, according to the Guinness World Records. The route goes from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, to Quellón, Chile, and Ushuaia, Argentina. Reflecting on a recent trip to Boston, I stumbled upon this picture of the subway system (The T). I must admit, I avoided the T like the plague the whole week because I was convinced that I would get lost, and it would make life even more stressful than it had to be. I was even willing to pay premium prices to get Ubers instead of even trying it out. After about 30 people told me that the T was the best way to get to Fenway, I finally caved in and gave it a try. The instructions were clear- take the green line west and just don’t get on car "E". But about 15 minutes into the ride, I realized that of course we somehow got onto car "E". I was right- the subway was not the easiest way to get around, and I was now in some random area and would have to Uber just to get back to where I needed to be. However, two days later, we rode the T again (reluctantly) with my brother-in-law who was familiar with the area. Turns out the subway is in fact an easy way to get around if you are with someone who knows what they are doing. The same is true in life and in finance- sometimes we are scared to start because we don’t know every detail, where if we just had someone in our corner that we trust, the result could be optimal. New outstanding client experience unlocked! So just how did our bucket list visit to Holkham Beach go from potentially meeting my equestrian dreams to all that and a 5 ⭐️ piece of feedback that I’m sharing with you all? 🏬 the website was an accurate and useful shop window that gave me access to must know information such as tide and access times (necessary when you’re planning to travel with impatient precious cargo…also might apply to my children). Easy to navigate, consumable with links for relevant (also consumable) content. 📍 they understood their audience and managed expectations with clear guidance on how the beach and facilities can be used and protected for positive impact 🐦 🐴 they had recently improved the process for different users needs with a dedicated bridleway that helps ‘excited to be somewhere new’ 4 legged friends avoid entanglement with other visitors as we pass the main car park with separate route away from the wooden walkway. We styled our transition from car park to dunes in a positive walk, sometimes sideways mode. 🪜 mounting blocks both sides of the gate and the end of the track removing the need to wrangle with the access gate and giving cafe options ( 🍰 ☕️) to those of us whose days of getting on from the ground are long gone 🪧 clearly signposted to reinforce that we were on the right track at all times without those awful ✋ 🛑 ⛔️ ⚠️ signs that bring out the negative (see Laura Thomas for post on health and safety behaviours) 💰 charging a fee to park that might have felt expensive at first look but was the right price point for the thought and attention to detail that turned what could have been just another mini-break trip into a successful adventure. #clientexperience #differentiator #equestrian #law #processimprovement

Transit ridership continues to increase on all our transit services! Check out the ridership numbers for the second quarter of 2024 (April through June): 🚐 On-demand transit saw 16,207 riders, a 26 per cent increase over the same period last year. 🚐 There was an average of 93 passenger trips on the on-demand Saturday service, five more than the first quarter of the year. 🚐 Within Spruce Grove, there was an average of 119 trips per weekday, and 238 passenger trips within the region including Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Parkland Village and Acheson. 🚐 The commuter service saw 25,722 riders, a 26 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
