𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲-𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐚 𝐆𝐚𝐩 Industries complain how bad modern graduates are, but when asked to help talk to students or conduct sessions on their betterment, then everyone gets very busy. Most companies engage with universities when they want to sell products, services or for hiring but when it comes to building the quality of graduates, it's lacking. Professionals from companies can help improve student output by: - Hiring faculty and students for research work - Devise curriculum for relevant fields working with faculty - Commission Case-studies and Articles on their company challenges - Invite students to organizations for "what we do" styled sessions to appeal to students with the most aptitude in the space #hiring #universities #development #talent

A year ago, I failed my IIT JAM exam. Today, I'm at JNCASR with AIR-382 and multiple institute offers. The biggest lesson? Failure isn't final - it's fuel. 2024 taught me that transformation comes through persistence: Key Milestones → • Secured AIR-382 in IIT JAM CY 2024 • Admitted to MSc program at JNCASR • Selected for MSc programs at IISER Pune and IIT Gandhinagar • Built LinkedIn community to 8500+ followers • Secured two remote internships in research communications • Met the legendary Prof. C.N.R. Rao at JNCASR Three posts that resonated most with our growing community: 1. Meeting Prof. C.N.R. Rao His advice: "Enjoy the journey of learning new things and Enjoy your life" https://lnkd.in/gdmYU9wh 2. Journey from Failure to Success "I didn't expect that I'll get AIR-382 this time. But as it goes 'Hard work definitely pays off!'" https://lnkd.in/gWVDM3jM 3. JNCASR Admission A dream realized through persistence https://lnkd.in/gcvZpBwf To my mentors who supported my preparation, seniors who guided me through interviews, and this incredible LinkedIn community - your support turned setbacks into comebacks. Looking ahead: As I dive deeper into chemical biology research at JNCASR in 2025, I'm excited to continue bridging the gap between complex science and clear communication, while helping more students navigate their academic journeys. #Research #AcademicSuccess #ChemicalSciences #JNCASR #ResearchJourney #LinkedInRewind #2024wrapped

𝐈𝐬 𝐆𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐄𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫? 𝐋𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬! As an engineering student, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is often seen as a significant milestone. But is it genuinely crucial for everyone? GATE undoubtedly opens doors to prestigious institutions like IITs and NITs for MTech and PhD programs, providing an edge in academic credentials. It's also a gateway to stable and lucrative public sector jobs, with many PSUs using GATE scores for recruitment. Furthermore, it offers research opportunities and fellowships, both in India and abroad, making it an attractive option for those inclined towards academia and research. However, the exam’s extensive syllabus might not always cover the practical skills required in the industry. The intense preparation can be mentally taxing, potentially detracting from other valuable experiences like internships or learning new technologies. Additionally, many successful engineers have thrived without a GATE score, excelling through alternative pathways such as startups, direct industry experience, or specialized certifications. So, is GATE an overrated tradition, or does it still hold indispensable value? Can alternative routes offer comparable or better career prospects? Should the industry place as much emphasis on GATE scores as it currently does? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Whether you’re a student, a professional, or an academic, what’s your perspective on the importance of GATE? Let's start a constructive debate in the comments. 👇 #Engineering #GATEExam #CareerGrowth #HigherEducation #Debate
