No sledge hammer? No problem. Millgeo crews know how to improvise. As land surveyors, we know that no two job sites are the same, which means improvisation is key! Whether it's rough terrain, changing weather, or unexpected challenges, we always find a way to adapt and get the job done with precision.

I'm excited to share with you my achievement in my land surveying career. Over the past few weeks, I was busy setting up this Overhead Traveling Crane (OHTC) lane which is 21.080 meters apart. The following requirements were adhered to when setting up the OHTC:
1: Alignment along one rail
2: Height difference along one rail
3: Parallelism of two lanes
4: Height difference between two lanes parallel to each other.
The task was quite challenging, but it was executed with maximum care, and eventually, the required accuracies were attained.
As a result, it had to be tested before the operation started. The tests included:
1: Functional test
2: Load test
3: Static load test
4: Dynamic test
It was a remarkable experience indeed.

Are you a problem solver at heart that is fond of the outdoors? Land surveying is a great career for those who are willing to put in the time to learn the many facets of what we do, anywhere from construction layout, 3D scanning, drone work, building surface models to researching land back to the original patents to make boundary determinations and more. This is just a portion of what makes us surveyors.
It's not always easy, but at the end of the day, not many things that are rewarding are.
