Today, they dominate our screens and influence every area of entertainment. There have been a few misses along the way, but the success of selected comic book adaptations paved the way for a flood of superhero movies which, in recent years, has dramatically changed the landscape of cinema. Video games have evolved from simple pixelated adventures to vast and complex, narrative-driven experiences that rival the best movies and books.
