"From New Beginnings to Earning Applause: My Journey into Training" Stepping into the world of training after working in HR was a leap. I was now standing in front of senior, highly experienced professionals—people who had seen and done it all. I asked myself, ‘How can I add value here?’ But with each session, something incredible happened. I saw nods of approval, engaged faces, and—best of all—feedback that told me I was making an impact. They didn’t just listen; they connected with what I had to share. It turns out that when you bring passion, preparation, and a fresh perspective to the table, experience gaps don’t matter as much. I’ve learned this: respect isn’t just given based on years—it’s earned by the value you bring, no matter where you’re starting from. Have you ever stepped into a new role and discovered more in yourself than you expected? #NewBeginnings #LearningAndDevelopment #TrainingSuccess #ProfessionalGrowth #ConfidenceInYourself

If you had to summarize what makes someone a “Top Performer” what would you say? Put simply, it’s someone who excels at consistently meeting expectations...but really is that all? I wanted to share this sign I like to keep in my office because it helps me reflect on really what does being a top performer mean? Does it mean you are the best? Smartest? Most Skilled? Not at all. I received an invitation to the company's annual Top Performers event after just a few months starting a position in something I had almost 0 experience in, but I knew that it was a job I was suited for based on my personality and the skillset I have built. I doubted things I was doing, tried to research to make the most educated decision, tried to be quick on my own feet to keep with the flow of the work to contribute to the team not hold them down. Little did I realize all of those things were being observed, so much so that I was able to be counted among the top percentage in the company. This in no way makes me any better than anyone, but it does reinforce that going above and beyond because I care is observed and appreciated. Yes, we all are paid for our work, but how much more enjoyable is that work when there are opportunities such as these to better enjoy our hard day's work? I think it's so important for companies to have attainable incentives and programs for people who excel not for show, but because they are compelled to and that is who they are. So am I a certified Top Performer? YES! Because I CARE about the work, reputation, and impact I have wherever I go and my goal is to be better than I WAS yesterday, not anyone else. #feelsgoodtobeseen

The Power of 👏🏼 Applause: A Lesson From Early On This quote I recently came across struck me… Early in my career, celebrating senior colleagues' achievements felt less about courtesy and more about something fundamental – building a supportive network. Back then, their accomplishments seemed miles ahead, yet their wins energized me. It wasn't just about them; it fostered a collaborative spirit where we all felt part of a team, working towards shared goals. Fast forward to today, leading my own team, I see that same enthusiasm reflected in their congratulations. It's a beautiful reminder that celebrating successes, big or small, strengthens the entire team. To the next generation of financial advisors: embrace this wholeheartedly. Applaud your colleagues' wins. It's not about diminishing your own ambitions; it's about building a foundation of support that will propel everyone forward. 💡 Remember, your turn will come – but the journey is always better when we celebrate each other along the way. #Singapore #lessons #FinancialServices #Mentorship #jsadvisory #forgingrelationships

Yesterday we launched Nominations, a new add-on product built to streamline Nomination Programs from start to finish! 🙌🏽 Doing "Employee of the Month" or "Core Value Winner" awards are ubiquitous ways to highlight top performers as nominated by their peers however, historically this has been a very manual process for the HR team. Not anymore! With Nominations you can: - Open a Nomination event - Capture votes/responses - Review votes and select a winner or winners - Share recognition with all who received votes (even the non-winners) - Automatically generate a winner slide for your Townhall or All-Hands meeting This is a total game changer 🚀 Link in comments to learn more!

PICK YOUR BATTLES I have observed that a few people (especially at work) try to prove their point by arguing about every item on the agenda. They want to be in charge of everything, or at least most of it, that helps them or their teams. This used to get more heated in discussions about nominations for promotions, awards and recognition, appraisals, other benefits, etc. One of the grooming lessons I learnt was to not put up a fight in every situation. We should be selective in the battles we fight. Lessons learned in life: It's acceptable to lose some of the fights. #corporateexperience #lifeexperience #originalcontent

Have you ever put in your best work, only to feel like it went unnoticed? It’s a tough reality that many of us face in the workplace, where dedication and hard work can sometimes go unacknowledged. Whether it's delivering on tight deadlines, stepping up when needed, or consistently exceeding expectations, it can be disheartening when your contributions aren’t recognized. Here’s what I’ve learned through this experience: Recognition isn’t always immediate, and that's okay. Sometimes it takes time for your impact to be fully seen. Speak up for yourself: If your efforts aren't being acknowledged, have an open conversation with your manager or team about your contributions and career goals. Celebrate your wins: Don’t wait for others to validate your hard work. Be proud of your achievements, even if they fly under the radar. Build a support network: Surround yourself with colleagues and mentors who see and value your contributions. At the end of the day, your work speaks volumes, even if it doesn’t always get the recognition it deserves right away. Keep pushing forward, and eventually, it will pay off. How do you handle those times when your efforts go unrecognized? #WorkplaceRecognition #CareerGrowth #SelfAdvocacy #WorkLife #CareerDevelopment
