💡 I’d like to share a thought, both as an HR professional and as a "side character" and “actor” in an extraordinary project like The Nemesis I describe myself as a "side character" because that’s exactly how I felt when I joined a company with a product that was very different from my personal interests. It was an abrupt change, one that took me from the fashion world to the gaming world practically overnight—a challenge that, at first, was also a bit frightening. During the early meetings, I found myself thinking: “I don’t really need to know what ‘minting’ means or join in on a ‘speedrun’; I’m here as HR, as Head of HR. My role is different…” But it was precisely at that moment that I realized how easy it is to make a huge mistake: assuming that our work with people can be separated from understanding what each team member creates and contributes. It’s a mistake to think that a product unrelated to our own area or an unfamiliar sector doesn’t intersect with our contribution. When we come together with the company to define its core values and talk about “sense of belonging” or being a “brand ambassador,” truly understanding these values means going beyond our specific roles and goals. It means trying to experience something that, at first, might not feel close to us. No one will expect us to become specialists in areas beyond our expertise, but the added value appears when we look at a colleague’s work and, through that understanding and involvement, feel that we, too, are part of it. So today, here I am, with my avatar 🧛♀️ on my own speedrun. I know my support is not technical, but participatory and genuine. And this is what gives me the strength to be a true brand ambassador.
