DAY 4: This year I continued to prioritize reading and really enjoyed it. As the end of the year comes, I thought I’d share some of my favorites – I’m starting with my 5 favorite business books, in no particular order: #4 “The Ownership Mindset: A Handbook for Transforming Your Life and Leadership”, by Kerry Siggins. Kerry talks about how ‘owners’ think differently than employees. And how you can shape your thinking in your personal life and business to be more of an ‘owner’. She is also the CEO of a large company that is employee-owned (ESOP) and an advocate for the benefits of ESOP programs. I’d love to hear your suggestions of what to add to my 2025 reading list, drop your suggestions in the comments. #reading #businessbooks #2024 #manufacturing #supplychain #ownershipmindset

The Trust Paradigm Book draws on the hard-won truths of two authors, Geoff Hudson-Searle and Mark Herbert and draws on their deep personal #lessonsoflife and #businesspractices , and their efforts to distill those lessons into #principles that lead towards a more #purposefullife . The #book is intended to be both a holistic overview of what generates and builds #trust, and a hands-on guide to how that can be done. A wide range of tips, #models and techniques that will help to build strong and effective trust solutions in today’s #businessworld are combined with a range of insights into the topical subjects of the day. The term ‘trust’ has been overused forever and, during the last decade, considerably devalued. In this book, the #authors aim to take the concept back to its essentials and to re-evaluate how real, meaningful trust can be incorporated into #management and #leadership. Book Review of the Week: "Multipliers: How the Best Leaders Make Everyone Smarter" by Liz Wiseman For this week's book review, I want to go back to Multipliers, since it is such a great resource. The passage I want to draw to serves as a good pull to the book itself, if you haven't read it. "Multipliers don’t just get more from people, they get the best from people." When you follow the multiplier methodology, you galvanize people to create their best work and get the most out of your resources. Within the book, it spoke of a team of average intelligent people led by a multiplier vs one team full of the world's smartest people led by a diminisher. The result? The first team kicked the second's a** in growth year-over-year. What do you think? #GlobalMobility #RelocationServices #Relocation #TalentManagement #TalentAcquistion #Moving #HumanResources #TalentDevelopment #ProfessionalDevelopment

I remember purchasing this book for my Master of Organizational Behavior @ FDU in 2009 (Yes I am dating myself) and vividly remembering how upset I was because I felt it was so pricey at the time and I didn't initially see the value in the book (it wasn't even hardcover lol). Let me tell you...over a decade later ....this was/is worth EVERY penny. It's really a reference guide for any people leader that wants to understand the strengths and opportunities on their team. Highlights references/ tools to use to build successful teams and be very specific with the behaviors that drive mastery of certain competencies.Successful teams are literally like peices of a puzzle with different skills and strengths but come together perfectly. As I introduced folks to it today to it, literally in a quick passing conversation I recalled how much this book helped me as a rookie multi-unit DM to this day. Best investment for ANY people leader. Both for you and your team. (pretty sure this edition is obsolete, but newer editions are available) #development #investment #growth #OrgDev #throwback2009 #memorylane Vanessa Biscardi Aaron Luettinger Ron Gover Scott Tollett
