DAY 4: This year I continued to prioritize reading and really enjoyed it. As the end of the year comes, I thought I’d share some of my favorites – I’m starting with my 5 favorite business books, in no particular order: #4 “The Ownership Mindset: A Handbook for Transforming Your Life and Leadership”, by Kerry Siggins. Kerry talks about how ‘owners’ think differently than employees. And how you can shape your thinking in your personal life and business to be more of an ‘owner’. She is also the CEO of a large company that is employee-owned (ESOP) and an advocate for the benefits of ESOP programs. I’d love to hear your suggestions of what to add to my 2025 reading list, drop your suggestions in the comments. #reading #businessbooks #2024 #manufacturing #supplychain #ownershipmindset

Curled corners. Bent pages. Bookmarked paragraphs. Deep-dive conversations about workplace culture and organizational trust. Grateful for Closing the Trust Gap conversations with leaders like Elizabeth McJimsey Souder who care deeply about the well-being of teams. As a new(ish) author, it’s deeply rewarding when people read your book…it’s even more rewarding when they move it from a one-time-read to an actionable workbook. #TrustProposition

📚 Happy Book Lovers Day! What are you reading today? I am currently reading (and re-reading) "You2" (You Squared) by Price Pritchett. OMG SO GOOD! It's short with so many great nuggets on moving forward with a "quantum" leap. Chapters are only 2 pages long and I read one or two every night. I also just started "The Having: The Secret Art of Feeling and Growing RIch" by Suh Yoon Lee and Jooyun Hong. This book was highly recommended by several people in a great masterclass I took a couple months ago (check out my profile for a link to register for the next one, this class is amazing...and FREE). I am also reading "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon. DON'T COME AT ME! I know, I should have read this years ago but life happened, so I didn't. I love it so far. 👉 Some recent favorites: "Blood Born" by Shelley Wilson "The Tools" by Phil Stutz and Barry Michels "Bear Town" by Fredrick Backman "Circe" by Madeline Miller "The Scent Keeper" by Erica Bauermeister "Shadow and Bone" by Leigh Bardugo "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne (which I re-read about 1x per year) I know. All over the place. 📖 What are your top book recommendations of late, and what are you reading now? #books #author #whatinspiresme PS: If you need a couple of good leadership/corporate life recommendations (and don't mind a few sweary words), check out my books: "Where The Hell Is My Bacon?" - How An Innocent Pork Product Conquered Employee Engagement and Change Management at a Large Midwestern Corporation. "From BLAH to BAD*SS: The No-Bullsh*t Guide To Channeling Your Leadership GRIT!"
